This is one of the most wonderful weeks of the year – National Dog Week! It is when you humans honor us for being … well, totally awesome dogs … hehehe. I have already put in my requests with the rents on how to make this week super special for my dog siblings Elvis and Daisy, and myself! Today is the first day of National Dog Week and they have already surprised me! They decided to take time out of their busy Sunday to play with us in the backyard. Well, let me clarify … to play with Daisy and me. Elvis doesn’t like to leave the patio (weird puppy mill issues) so he was our audience while I showed off my amazing ball-fetching abilities.

First, they gave us a new ball from our pals at Beneful. This wasn’t just a regular tennis ball because it squeaked too! Hint to you humans – anything that squeaks elevates that new toy in our eyes!

Here are some photos of us having a blast. Yes, sometimes I forget I have to actually let go of the ball for the rents to throw it again … oops.

Win a Beneful goody bag!

Preston and Daisy Beneful GiveawayMy pals at Beneful sent us this cool bag full of items to make National Dog week fun! Inside are toys, THE squeaky ball, food, and even a dog bowl. They said they couldn’t leave out Preston’s pals, so they gave me a bag to give away to one of you too!

Also, they gave me a link to a coupon for $3 off a 13 pounds or larger bag of Beneful dry dog food – Beneful Coupon. If you save three dollars on dog food, then you can use that money to buy your dog some treats or a new toy!

  • On #NationalDogWeek I will be taking my 2 dogs Scooby and Molly for a last dip in the Rogue River. Molly loves fetching sticks as she is a lab mix Scooby my 15 yr old dachshund blind in one eye and deaf still loves going to out favorite spot at the river where he digs holes in the sand.

  • I am going to spend lots of time with my dog during National Dog Week. Who am I kidding! I spend lots of time with him every week.

  • We had some very nice Fall weather so the dogs and I spent a lot of time outdoors. We went walking and then shopping and out to eat 🙂

  • this past wkend we went to some dog events even in the pouring rain, had to carry my eldest as she has some problems. it was nice for her to get out and about. went both sat and sun. rained both days. we have been playing some ball and i went and got my 3 gals some really good treats that they love.

  • Señor Mike the Senior Dog only learned to walk on a leash after he was rescued from a nasty muddy yard where he was neglected for about 9 years (that’s right, years!). Now he loves his leash and wants to walk whenever anyone is willing.

  • Today Mike reconnoitered the neighborhood and left little dog messages around so that all other dogs would be clearly informed of his presence. Some of those messages I was unfortunately compelled to bagg-up and dispose of, but he doesn’t realize that.

  • Mike did his other favorite activity today, which is ‘just visiting’ the vet. They are just a block from our house. We weighed him (not good, he’s very fat) and he said hi to all of his pals. We do this in part so that he won’t mind going there and also because they are so nice.

  • I will be taking my dogs out to a pet expo in my area. I have three bulldogs and they love going out and meeting people and other doggies. And of course, they’ll be getting a lot of treats.

  • We spend every day together with all three kids in school now after I take my youngest to preschool I come back and denali and I go for a long walk together

  • Yesterday,we participated in the blessing of the pets and today we went to the Canine Carnival. Oh, there were treats involved all week too.

  • My puppy had a great time at my daughter’s soccer game. It was the first time she was around a lot of people and she did great.
