National Treat Your Pet Day with Dr. Marty Pet Food and Giveaway!

Preston and Dr. Marty Pet Food
Written by Rachel Phelps

Attention all pet parents, there is a NEW pet holiday you must celebrate – NATIONAL TREAT YOUR PET DAY on this upcoming Saturday, October 30th, 2021.  This holiday encourages pet parents to treat their four-legged companions with delicious, nourishing snacks, extra love, and attention.  That means on October 30th we get extra treats!!

With 90.5 million American households having pets per the APPA, that is a lot of treats that must be given out.  Our pals at Dr. Marty Pets made sure Piper, Daisy, and me were set to celebrate with a full belly!  They sent us a few bags of their raw freeze-dried Beef Liver, raw freeze-dried Salmon dog treats, as well as a bag of their Nature’s Blend food to try out too.

Preston and Dr. Marty Pet FoodTilly’s Treasures – Raw Beef Liver Dog Treats

I admit it, I am not a big raw diet dog.  I mean, I won’t pass up on some raw food, but it just doesn’t fit into our jet – setting lifestyle (ok, Mom says that sounds like I am spoiled rich – it’s more like our flying Southwest Airlines lifestyle … hehehe).  Bringing raw meat with us isn’t practical.  However, these treats are freeze-dried, so they are shelf stable, and you can throw them in your bag and go.  These treats are made from 100% raw premium beef liver and are rich in fortifying A and B vitamins, iron, and other essential mineral us pups need.

Joey’s Favorite – Raw Salmon Dog Treats

I’m not sure who Joey is, but I have to say he has good taste in treats!  These 100% freeze-dried raw premium salmon treats are full of nutrients like omega-3’s, B vitamins, and other important minerals. These treats were so, so, so good, that I didn’t want to share with Piper and Daisy, but Mom made me … hehehe.

Nature’s Blend Dog food

The freeze-dried raw food has a mix of turkey, beef, salmon, and duck, with seeds, veggies, and fruit all in one.  When they said it was a blend, they aren’t lying, there is a lot in there!  Mom took this food with us when I went to the University of Illinois for my pacemaker surgery.  She wanted to bring food that would entice me to eat no matter how bad I felt after the surgery.  She was right, this food perked me right up when she opened the bag.  One pro tip though, silly Mom didn’t read the bag closely at first, and you are supposed to add water to the food before you give it to us.  The first time she just poured the food into a bowl, and I just looked at her like this isn’t right … hehehe.
