Pet Friendly Tampa Bay Area Renaissance Fair

Written by Rachel Phelps

While I was in Tampa, FL last month for the Tampa Pet Expo, I talked my rents into taking me to the Bay Area Renaissance Fair on my day off.  This annual event is very pet friendly!  In Tampa, it occurs every spring for about eight weekends.  In case you have never been to a renaissance fair, it is set during Medieval times and people are in period costumes.  I saw pirates, a queen, a mermaid, knights,  fair maids, and a few wenches.  It was so much fun!  Some of the fair maids even thought I was a mystical unicorn because I was so pretty and white!  Here are some photos from my fun day!

This is the biggest dog I have ever seen! hehehe I was surprised to see a human-size fairy.  I always thought they were smaller then me 🙂

Dad tried out axe throwing.

Look at this cutie I met!

I don’t think the 2015 festival dates are posted yet, but I really, really, hope that when I come back to Tampa next year for the pet expo, I can go back and visit.  Between the amazing bacon, and the ladies who thought I was as beautiful as a unicorn, I HAVE to return!
