Sherpa Original Deluxe
This carrier is great for plane and automobile travel. In this picture, I am in the brown, size large, but it is also available in plum, gray, and black. The carrier comes in sizes small, medium, and large. Sherpa has this neat program called the Guaranteed on Board for pet airplane travel. The Guaranteed on Board® program outlines all of the steps you will need to take before traveling with your pet so you can be sure that us pets and our carrier are compliant with the airline rules and regulations. If by chance you are denied boarding due to your carrier, Sherpa will refund the cost of your airline flight for you and your pet. This guarantee applies for the size small and medium carriers only. Now, for full disclosure, I have traveled in the size large and have not had a problem with my carrier fitting. But we only fly Southwest 737’s and have not traveled on the smaller planes.
The Sherpa Original Deluxe has top & side entry, mesh panels for ventilation, a real pocket (mom stores poop bags and my paperwork there), and locking zippers. Trust me on this one, the locking zippers are a good thing. I quickly learned in my travels that if I push my nose where the two zippers come together, I could sometimes work my head out … hehehe.
