Terrier Thursday Adoptable Animals

Meet Gucci!

(Gucci is with SNORT (Short Noses Only Rescue Team))

Are you ready to add Gucci to your home? No, it’s not a new pair of shoes or a handbag, it’s S.N.O.R.T. Boston Terrier, Gucci!

Gucci, an eight-year-old little lady, is all set to find her new forever home. She needs some help finding it because this sweet girl has cataracts that have rendered her blind. But have no fear – she is a very happy dog who will make the perfect addition to a family!

Gucci was surrendered to S.N.O.R.T. because her previous owner’s work hours left little time to give the proper time and attention to Gucci that she needed and deserved. So, S.N.O.R.T. stepped in to find her a new forever home.

Despite being blind, Gucci is getting along fabulously in her foster home. She is a relatively calm dog with a few energy bursts throughout the day. Because of her blindness she is not big on walks or meeting other dogs, but once comfortable with her surroundings loves to explore! A fenced-in yard would be ideal so that once she was familiar with her new home, she can spend time outdoors without worry she will wander off.

She is housebroken with no need for a crate and is not on any medications. Since being in foster care she has spent plenty of time around small babies and children; in fact she has shown great concern for her seven-month-old human brother and soothes him with kisses when he cries! However, because of her lack of vision, everyone in her home must be aware of where she is at all times since she is unaware of when she might need to move out of harm’s way, especially during playtime. For that reason, houses with children should be extra cautious and know to keep an on eye on Gucci when playing.

Gucci adores snuggles and belly rubs so be prepared to dole out plenty of both! She would love to be placed in a home where someone is around the majority of the day but would also be fine with a midday check-in. She would also be a phenomenal dog to take to work, if allowed, since she likes to spend the majority of her day snuggling and napping in her bed.
