BarkWorld 2013 – Recap

Written by Rachel Phelps

I have been putting off writing this post because I knew it would make me one sad pup to think about BarkWorld really being over until next year.  I am proud to say I have been to every single BarkWorld since it started in 2010.  It is the highlight of my year!  The last two years I have brought along my intern, my dog brother Elvis, to learn as well.  He has a blast and comes back with new social media skills that help my PrestonSpeaks.com empire grow (hehehe).  Anyway, here is my recap in photos!

We attended the Nutrish Super Premium Dog Food block party.  Our rents made us custom bowls!  Speaking of Nutrish, if you haven’t tried out Rachael Ray Nutrish, you should.  It is a yummy you can get at your grocery store and big box stores such as Wal-mart or Target.  They even have grain free!

We played and played at the Best Friend’s Petcare Doggie day care!  They managed to get a photo of us together as well (which is rare!) They always take wonderful care of us!

Mom spoke on a panel with Karen from MouseBreath, Joanne from The Tiniest Tiger, and Sandy Robins.  It was titled, Cat Bloggers vs. Dog Bloggers.

I auditioned to be a Vlogger.  In case you don’t know, a Vlogger is a Video Blogger.  Mom had to translate for me so she had to be in the video as well.  Regardless, they knew who the real star was!  I haven’t’ heard back yet, but even if they don’t pick me, it was fun).

Elvis walked his first red carpet at the BarkWorld Opening Party.

We got tons of great swag from the amazing BarkWorld sponsors.

Elvis even got a pair of shades from Mashable.

At the end of the weekend we were two tired pups!

I can’t wait to go back to BarkWorld in 2014.  Next year, it will be Oct 30th to Nov 1st and it will be back in Atlanta at the Westin Buckhead hotel.  Also, the Cat Writers Conference will be held along with BarkWorld, which I’m super excited about! Did I tell mention was a member?  Yep, they even let dogs in!  I think my sister and brother cats put in a good word for me!
