Westie Rescue SouthEast is at the Nashville Pet Expo | #amazingpetexpo

Written by Rachel Phelps

As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.  Westie Rescue SouthEast (WRSE) is one of those that will be at the  Nashville Pet Expo July 13  at the Nashville Expo Center  from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption.

Westie Rescue Southeast has a very special spot in our hearts!  This is the rescue group that we adopted Elvis from so we owe this great rescue so much for saving my brother and giving him a new life! Here is the day when I met my brother and we are heading home!

About the Westie Rescue Southeast

165094_506327452723422_228676231_nWestie Rescue Southeast-USA is a non-profit 501-c3 charitable organization established to RESCUE, CARE FOR and FIND HOMES for West Highland White Terriers (Westies).

These dogs may need rescue for various reasons including, but not limited to, being surrendered due to family circumstances, neglect, abuse, and abandonment.  The dogs taken into the program may come from animal shelters, breeders, puppy mills and people that can no longer provide them with a home and adequate care.

Meet Scruffy

1000754_589430287746471_305894059_nScruffy is a very sweet Westie boy!  He gets along well with other dogs and is a joy to have around.  He is 3 to 4 years old.  Scruffy will need a very secure fenced yard, he is a bit of an escape artist.  The few times he has managed an escape, he loved playing catch me if you can!  Scruffy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and patiently waiting for his new family to find him.

Meet Pinot

25679245-1-largePinot is a 7 year old AKC registered male Westie.  He is very sensitive and loving.  He is a bit shy because he has spent the first 7 years of his life as a breeding dog.  Pinot has lots of time to make up for concerning attention, toys and treats.  Would your family like to be the lucky ones to show Pinot what being a pet is all about and how wonderful it can be?  You will have a loyal little fella for the rest of his life.  He has been in a wonderful foster home learning how great a home can be. Pinot is eager to please and loves for someone to pet him.  He gets along well with other dogs.  He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and is heart worm negative.

So stop by Westie Rescue SouthEast (WRSE) booth at the Nashville Pet Expo and say Preston sent you!

  • WESTIE RESCUE SOUTHEAST is headquartered in Nashville, TN. We are open to foster applications from all over the southeastern United States. We have a great need for foster homes. We do not have a facility and for this reason, our foster families are the most important link in our rescue chain. WRSE will provide all vet services, any medication a dog may need, dog food, a dog crate if needed and monthly maintenance meds such as heart worm prevention and flea/tick. Some foster families offer to provide all or part of the above as a donation to WRSE. We are a non-profit organization and can provide you with the proper paperwork concerning tax deductible donations or costs you choose to incur. Everything can be provided….all you add is lots of love and a safe stopping off point on the way to a Westies furever home! There is always a foster coordinator available to answer questions or help with any problem that may arise. Won’t you please consider this worthwhile effort to help a rescued Westie? We need foster homes so that we never, ever have to refuse help to a Westie in need. If you are interested in learning more about fostering a rescued Westie for a few days or a few weeks, please e-mail us at westiefoster4WRSE@gmail.com. We promise you will love saving a Westie! Even though letting go at adoption time may be difficult, there is always another to save. Please join us in this worthwhile, heart warming work! Thank you.
