River Walk in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio City Walk
Written by Rachel Phelps

However, I must warn you that it can be very, very, crowded and the walkways are narrow.  You need to watch out for parents who aren’t watching their kids very close who just reach out suddenly to pet us dogs or pull our ears without warning.  So humans, you must have a very well behaved dog (like me!) to go walking down there – especially when it is busy.  Also, you need to stay very aware of where we are and try to make sure someone doesn’t step on us because they aren’t paying attention.  Unfortunately, none of the fun boat rides allow dogs … so yet again, another fun attraction I could not go on … no fair!   But here are some photos from my evening at City Walk.

I am in front of the Alamo which is right beside City Walk.  However, we got talked to by the park rangers.  There is a rectangle of green grass in front of the Alamo.  Dogs are allowed to be at the end closest to the road, but we can’t get any closer even though it is all sidewalk … I say Boo to the park service!

I LOVED watching the boats going by!

The Casa Rio Restaurant was very dog-friendly and even brought me some water to drink!  I don’t know why I am sticking my tongue out though … hehehe

Of course, no trip is complete without an embarrassing hat for me to wear!
