Preston Takes over Washington DC

Written by Rachel Phelps

Thanks to the wonderful company Tagg.com (they make GPS tags for your pets to keep them safe..check them out!) my mom was invited to attend a tour of the Washington DC Monuments after dark during Blogpaws. It was the Friday night before the hurricane rolled in but the weather was beautiful and perfectly calm. Unfortunately , fluffy animals weren’t invited so I sent Flat Preston instead to do all the photo opps and interact with the other bloggers. I even got to to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial even though it wasn’t officially open yet.. The dedication was suppose to be the following day with President Obama in attendance but it was canceled due to the hurricane. By the end of the night we went to the Lincoln, Washington (well looked at it..couldn’tt go inside due to the earthquake damage), Jefferson, MLK Jr., Korean, and Vietnam memorials. Check out my video!

  • Hi Preston!
You can go up to the Washington Monument! I peed all over the grass then took a fabulous photo sitting on the bench near the monument! It was spectacular!
I hope you had fun! I went during summer and it was waaaaaaaay too hot for me!
