  • This made me feel sick. I feel so awful for all those dogs and the many more who live that way. I wish I could rescue them all!

  • A few weeks ago I was walking at St Clair Square. This mall is in Illinois, just a few miles from St. Louis. I came around to the one area I hate walking past, the pet store. When I saw it was boarded up and closed down, I let out a very loud whoop. I’m sure everyone around me thought I had lost my mind. I just stood there, tears streaming down my face and all I could say to the couple who asked me if I was alright was “Thank God, it’s closed.” The boards on the storefront was proof of what can be done. A big thanks to Missouri’s Prop B supporters and all of the rescues that worked so hard getting dogs out of the Schindlers mill auction.

    • Jacquie,

My Foster brother Elvis came from a the Schindler mill mill in Mexico Mo that supplies most of the dog stores in the St. Louis area when they had their big auction in Oct and closed their mill. So your post made my day! After I saw this video I had to post it to show people what really happens with puppy mills dogs. When I think of my Elvis at an auction it just breaks my heart. Especially the way they describe the dogs. Elivs is kind, friendly, loves to snuggle and have his belly rubbed..there is more to him than just being called an “aggressive breeder!”
