How you can make a difference!

Written by Rachel Phelps

When I started this blog back in May I really thought this is a crazy idea..no one will want to know what a little white dog in Kentucky has to say about anything. Daddy really pushed mommy and I to write because he said we have a talent that doesn’t need to be wasted. So I started writing, talking to you all and even meeting some other anipals at Barkworld Expo. People actually started to read some of my posts and companies have contacted me about reviewing products which has been a blast. I have written about my adventures on trips and even picked up a foster brother along the way too. However, what has really humbled me was how this little white dog and my online stories can really change the world even in just a super tinny way. I recently received an e-mail about how a reader was moved by my post about my foster brothers Dancer and Tommy. Now they want to research about getting involved in fostering too. A person at mommy’s work also stopped her and asked about the process of adopting a westie from a rescue. Mommy and I were on cloud nine all week.

So back to why I titled this entry how you can make a difference. Everyone and every dog can make a difference no matter how small it is. Think about what is your passions, your drive and what small thing can I do today to make a difference somehow. It could be petting the dogs at a shelter, giving change to a homeless person, picking up that piece of trash in the parking lot, calling a senior citizen you know to say hi, or even reading a book to a kid. Just think if this 19 pound little white terrier can make a small difference you have no excuse not to!
