I’m going Barkworld 2010!!!

Hello World!!  I have had a very, very busy couple of days.  Sorry about the delay in posting.  I’m usually such a good dog with something every day but I’ve been busy working on setting up my twitter account (www.twitter.com/preston_speaks).   Well I have been so lucky to win a pass for my mommy to attend Barkworld Expo Augst 20-22 in Atlanta Georgia.   Us doggies get in free 🙂  One of my favorite websites  dogster  ran a contest and I WON so I sat mommy and daddy down and told them as my assistants I need them to clear their calendars and pack their bags because we are going to Georgia!    So you’re probably wondering what is Barkworld.  It is a social media conference for us technology savvy animals(and their staff)  who blog, facebook, and twitter.  According to the website:

The 2010 BarkWorld Expo is a social media event for pet owners that use Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media applications for their pets. It’s also for those pet owners that are either on the fence about social media or just interested in perusing an expo hall full of products and services for their pet. BarkWorld Expo will provide an avenue for the Social Media anipal beginners, experts, and the curious as well as an arrangement of pet vendors.

There are over 20 educational sessions, keynote speakers, and even a movie that us dogs can attend (Best in Show)!   This will be a great event with new pet products, vendors, a wonderful location (Atlantic Station) and there is going to even be an animal fashion show which will benefit local animal charities.  Now what I don’t understand is why I haven’t been asked to be a model yet.? Don’t they know  I love wearing clothes?!?!

I am going down to Atlanta as part of the GMC Bark and Ride with Maggie’s, Parkers, and Ruby’s mom from Kruse Cats.  But  I’ll post a whole bog about this fun road trip I’m taking!

I have been connecting with other animals who will be attending and making new friends with my new twitter account and on facebook. The nice people from Barkworld even chatted with me on twitter and made me feel right at home.  I also ordered me some business cards with my blog on it to pass out.  See us puppies can be smart business dogs when we try hehehehe.
