AKC Recognizes Three New Breeds!

Written by Rachel Phelps

Hello world it has been a big week in the American Kennel Club. They have granted admission to three breeds of dogs into the world of pure breeds.   They are the Cane Corso, Icelandic Sheepdog, and Leonberger as the 165th, 166th, and 167th AKC recognized breeds. The Icelandic Sheepdog will join the Herding Group while both the Cane Corso and Leonberger will join the Working Group.  So no new terriers..that’s ok though…less competition in the terrier group to win best in show at Westminster!.  We haven’t won since 1962 so it is time! The world has to know just how awesome us Westies are!  Anyway back on track hehehe.
