BlogPaws 2012 was the first stop on my PrestonSpeaks.com Cross Country Tail Waggin Tour. This year it was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is part two of my recap of all the fun I had. Did you miss part one and two? Visit here ==> http://www.prestonspeaks.com/2012/07/18/blogpaws-2012-part-1/ and http://www.prestonspeaks.com/2012/07/20/blogpaws-2012-part-2/
I admit, by Saturday, I was one tired pup. Regardless, I was so happy to be able have one more day with my pals. The day started with breakfast again and I scored some more bacon!
Next, one of my favorite speakers in the whole wide world, Lena West, spoke to us about “Money- The Final Frontier”. Lets just say she was dead on with her advise to all of us bloggers about the touchy topic of compensation.
After Lena’s session, Mom decided I needed to go hangout for a while in the doggie day care to give her a break. Lets just say I had some fun!
Then, before I knew it, it was time for our big moment at BlogPaws. Mom and I were speakers for one of the last sessions of the day titled “Taking Your Blog Local.” We talked about how bloggers are in a unique position to gain local support for our blog. If you build the right partnerships you can make a positive difference in your community. I have to say though, I stole the show. Everyone wanted photos of me, not Mom … hehehe.
The conference ended with blogging awards and a walk on the red carpet. I got all dressed up in my tux and strutted my way down the red carpet and even took some photos in front of the “step and repeat.”
Next, I had to take some pics with my new pals . The blogger awards were given out and I was robbed I tell you … I should have won! But seriously, one of the best dog blogs out there DogTipper.com won top dog honors!
BlogPaws was a lot of fun and next year it will be back near Washington, DC again. Just keep your paws crossed that there won’t be any hurricanes or earthquakes this time!!! Until next year BlogPaws!
