My National Craft Day completed project

Written by Rachel Phelps

Recently, we were challenged by Sew Doggy Style to take the pledge to participate in National Craft Day for Your Local Shelter on July 21st (Today).  So mom and I got to work. We made twenty tote bags to give out to people who adopt West Highland White Terriers from Westie rescue.  Well actually mom did most of the work but I supervised! These bags will hold the dog’s records, toys, their food, and any medication they need to go to their forever home.  We decided to give them to Westie Rescue Indiana.   They are an all-volunteer non-profit organization. Their foster families (we are one of them) takes rescued Westies into their homes throughout Indiana, Kentucky and SW Ohio, providing the care needed until the doggie is adopted.

Here is our completed project!  I made some for both the boy and girl Westies!
