BlogPaws 2012 was the first stop on my PrestonSpeaks.com Cross Country Tail Waggin Tour. This year it was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is part two of my recap of all the fun I had.
Friday morning started out with a breakfast. I managed to score some bacon from Mom’s plate when she wasn’t looking … hehehe. The first keynote of the conference was Betsy Saul. She is the co-founder of Petfinder.com. Petfinder is the virtual home of over 350,000 adoptable animals from about 14,000 adoption groups.
I loved her talk, but in the middle, all of a sudden, the music “I’m too sexy” by Right Said Fred came on. My pal “Pet Care Bev” jumped up and rushed the stage with her flat pet. Mom and all my blogging pals quickly followed with their flat pets and started dancing. It was a FLAT PET FLASH MOB!!
Here is the fun video
Lets just say Mom represented PrestonSpeaks.com proudly as she “shaked her little touche on the catwalk” hehehe.
One educational session I attended that was amazing was “Getting Creative with Social Media” by my blogger pals, Joanne McGonagle, Paris Permenter, and Michele Hollow.
I sat in the back with my new pal Judy from Natural Balance.
Next, I skipped some sessions and decided it was time to make my rounds in the expo hall and “speak” to my company brand pals. One of the highlights for me was trying out a doggie treadmill (note these treadmills are made especially for dogs. Don’t ever put a dog on a human treadmill!).
PetSmart also had a really cool booth. It had toys for the taking! I got to pick out my very own toy, but it was a tough decision!
To end the day, I ran into a good friend of mine Missy, from Dogs for the Paws. She has known me since I was a pup. We have a tradition now. Every year we get a photo together. Here is our official 2012 photo!
I ended the evening by having a boys night out with dad. A local pub opened up their patio to the dogs. It was the first bar I have ever been to. It was a lot of fun and they even had special beer for the occasion for the humans called “ChasingTail.” The company who makes this beer donates a portion of the sales to animal causes.
