Preston’s Pick of the Week – Dog Bark Park Inn – July 9th

Written by Rachel Phelps

Hello World, I just had to share with you all the neatest hotel I have ever heard about.  It is the Dog Bark Park Inn Bed and Breakfast in Cottonwood Idaho.  I haven’t personally visited it yet because it is just too far way for me to get there by car. Dog Bark Park is home to Toby and Sweet Willy, the World’s Two Biggest Beagles. Both tall beagle statues, were built by Dog Bark Park artists Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin.  Inside  Sweet Willy  actually has  all the comforts of home…  Now personally I think Willy  should have been a Westie but they didn’t ask my opinion when they built it.  You enter through the side of the beagle , the head of the beagle is the bedroom , the muzzle is a reading alcove, and the bathroom is (hehehe) in the dog’s rear end.  Inside it is dog themed with twenty-six carved dogs  on the headboard and dog-shaped cookies on the pillows. Breakfast includes home-baked pastries, granola, fruit, cheeses, yogurts, bagels, and more!

Dogs are of course welcome to stay and there is also a gift shop and artist studio on the property you can tour.  They  make really neat wooden dogs of almost every breed.

Here is their link for more information including their nightly rates. http://dogbarkparkinn.com

This Bed and Breakfast  looks like so much fun and I can’t wait to visit it when I make it out to that neck of the woods.  Have you visited Dog Bark Park Inn? If so comment below.
