Pet News

I’m featured in October’s @Dogster Magazine Talking about Pet Parades!

Written by Rachel Phelps

Oh my dog! I have huge news! I am in the October/ November issue of Dogster! My mom and I wrote an article titled “Get Active, Get Social, March in a Dog Parade!” and it was published! Ok, I have to disclose that with this article I let my mom have the byline instead of me. I figured we would take turns … hehehe.

The sub title says: “Does your dog love to be the center of attention? If so, pet parades may be the perfect weekend activity.” Yep, I like dog parades, and I LOVE being the center of attention! In the article we talk about really neat pet parades all over the US and even give a good listing on the right-hand side of ones you should add on your doggie’s social calendar. We also talked to a great dog trainer out of the St. Louis area named Erin (LAST NAME) about tips on how taking your dog to their first parade can be a success.

Who is that attractive Westie in print?

Of course, I had to have a photo of me at a Scottish parade in my kilt and tam (my hat). I wish it was a better photo, but unfortunately, I was one wet doggie since it decided to rain while I was walking. There are also some photos from Westie Walks I have attended.

I am over the moon, and Mom is too. It isn’t every day you are published in a national publication with over 200,000 subscribers. I admit, I am a little nervous. I hope people like what Mom and I wrote and think I am a cute westie! I also think Mom got a little too creative with her byline at the end. She says “She keeps busy managing the career of her Internet celebrity dog Preston from PrestonSpeaks.com. She has three Westies, who think they are mini-humans and three cats, who rule the house. “ Where do I even start with that? Cats rule the house? Mini-humans? Has she lost her mind?!?!

So the next time you are out, I encourage you to stop by your local bookstore and pick up the October/November edition of Dogster, turn to page 52, and check out my article! Please let me know what you think!

Your Pal,
