Feline Friday Adoptable Animals

Meet Bella

(Bella is with Big Hearts Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc.)

My name is Bella and I’m looking for a very unique person. I’m not your normal cat. I was found with my siblings in a feral colony. Big Hearts was fixing and releasing when they came across us. We were only 4 weeks old at the time. We had never been exposed to people before and were really scared. My twin sister and I were the only two in the bunch that could be handled. My other siblings were released on a farm and are still being cared for and fed each day. My sister found a home when she was still a kitten, but no one ever wanted me. I’m now 6 years old and still waiting for my forever home. I know I’m quirky but I do long for companionship like my other foster friends. I don’t like to be picked up and only touched on my terms. I run to the food bowl excited and hissing. I know happy and hissing doesn’t make sense but it’s my way of expressing myself and my foster mom knows I’m excited to eat. My best friend is a dog. I feel more comfortable with dogs than cats, and I love to tussle with him. I love to cuddle in bed with my foster mom and I lick her when I want to be pet. When I’m in a new environment I take time to come around, but if you’re patient with me I will come around. I just never fully grasped being completely domesticated. I still have a bit of a wild side to me. For that reason I don’t want to live with children as that is too scary for me and I don’t think they’d understand my boundaries. I know that I’m not your typical cat but I do want a forever home with a family that would love me with all my quirks. I come already vaccinated, tested for FIV/FELV (I’m negative), spayed, dewormed, no fleas, and microchipped. I’m ready to go! After all these years I’m not going to give up hope that someone will want me. If your that person please contact Big Hearts at bhrescue@gmail.com Thank you for considering adopting me!
