I love Vegas, but sometimes you just have to get away from all the hustle, bustle, and lights. So last year, I convinced Mom and Dad we needed to go out into the desert and see what was in Vegas besides the casinos. So we headed out to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. This area has a one way thirteen mile scenic drive and a visitor center to explore. The cost is $7 a car. There are many stops along the way to get out and take photos and enjoy the canyon. I think there are also a lot of hiking trails, but after walking the very LONG Las Vegas strip the day before, I decided I would rather do the car ride. When we got there, the sun was shining, but a storm was approaching and by the time we left we even saw a few snow flurries (this Kentucky dog had no idea it can snow in the desert!). Here are a few photos of my adventures.
I loved looking out over the cannon. And Don’t worry, we were going maybe five miles an hour tops, and Mom was holding me just out of camera frame too.
I LOVE smelling the desert air!
That looks like fun wish I could do that
My little westie dog Rocky would have loved to have been your overseas girlfriend. You are very handsome!
