Did you know that us dogs know how to do laundry? Well we do, but we don’t let on, because we like it when you do everything for us! Mom caught me in the act recently … hehehe.
Well, my brother Elvis has some skin issues and frankly he can sometimes smell kind of extra doggie because of it. After a while, his bed starts smelling like him too … yuck! This means we have to wash his bed regularly. However, with his sensitive skin, many of the human laundry detergents can irritate his skin and make his dermatitis worst. So when my pals at The Good Home Co. reached out asking if I would try out their new product line of pet safe cleaning products, I said sure! I have a pet bed to test it out on! I must get this Elvis stink out of MY house!
We tested out the eco-friendly “Playing in the Meadow” laundry detergent. It is a completely natural detergent that you can use for our clothing and bedding. It is designed to not fade our clothes without the use of sulfates, chemical brighteners, and other harsh chemicals. The best part is that it actually removes odors, even the ever so tough Elvis smell! The detergent does have a scent they call “Playing in the Meadows”. Mom even thought it smelled good despite the fact she doesn’t typically like the smell of laundry detergent.
Mom wanted me to tell you that the detergent works for HE (High Efficiency) washing machines too (not sure what that means … hehehe). You just add a ¼ cup for regular machines and a 1/8 cup for HE machines. So even though the bottle doesn’t look that big, it will last a very long time!
Overall, I give it a two paws and a westie nose up! Now I wonder if I can throw Elvis in the washing machine to make him smell better … hehehe (So just kidding Mom!)
My pals at Good Home Co. also sent a great coupon just for you my readers. You can receive 20% OFF Playing In the Meadow Detergent, Floor Soap / All Purpose Cleaner, and Eco Pet Stain Remover, with the coupon code PRESTON. It is valid thru 3/18/2014.

I thought it was our water that smelled horrible. Then I thought this was only good in HE washers. Nope. I just read another review that confirmed my suspicion. It’s the laundry detergent! It doesn’t clean them it leaves the stink in!! So sorry I wasted over $10 for a big bottle of it! Had to give it 1 star to post this but it’s definitely 0 stars in my book!
Sorry you had a bad experience with this detergent. We have used it and had no smell. Please reach out to the company to see about getting a refund.
