Recently, I went to the vet to have my teeth cleaned. I admit, it was kind of scary having to go take a nap against my will and then waking with a scratchy throat from the tubes. Now though, my teeth are as white as my fur! I thought I was done with teeth cleaning for a while but Mom said we need to start brushing my teeth every day to keep my pearly whites all clean and sparkly!
Luckily, my pals at Zututh sent me a really neat toothbrush made specifically for us dogs. The brushes are specially angled for the shape of our mouth. Zututh is the only anatomically correct toothbrush on the market that we are aware of. This makes it an easier, faster, and a more effective way for the rents to brush our teeth. Another great feature is that it is longer than a human tooth brush so more teeth are cleaned in one motion. This also shortens the total brushing time (YEA!!).
Zututh comes in three sizes since us dogs have different size teeth. Small is for dogs under twenty pounds, medium is for dogs twenty to fifty pounds, and large is for dogs over fifty pounds.
Since we had this new toothbrush I decided to allow mom to brush my teeth. First, I want to make clear that your rents should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use human toothpaste. There are kinds made just for us dogs. My toothpaste is turkey flavored which is yummy. The first thing Mom did was let me check out the brush, which is a good idea. Don’t just jam it into our mouth or you might freak us out. Once I figured out this paste stuff taste yummy, I was more than happy to let Mom brush my teeth.
Mom says that she brushes our teeth just like she brushes her teeth – in a circular motion. She mostly focused on the sides and my back teeth. I have to admit, it wasn’t that bad. If Mom keeps using turkey flavor toothpaste and the Zututh brush, will let her brush my teeth again and again. This is probably a good thing since Mom informed me that this would be a regular event now on for my brother Elvis and me.

Hi Pres (hope you don’t mind if I call you that), hadn’t heard from you, I understand, just one thing or another we go to, BUT I love them all. Just got done sunning in the yard. I like to lay on my back and get my tummy warm, feels so good and then my Mom comes and rubs my tummy YEAH! For the past 6 months I have been folllowing in my Aussie sister’s footsteps and now go visiting the a rehab center to visit patients, oh how they love me. I’m 7 1/2 lbs of as my Mom says CUTE.
Patients rehabing from strokes, so Mom takes a little baby brush along and I climb right up on their laps and put the brush in their hand that doesn’t work very well. Oh how they LOVE to brush me the only thing is it makes me fall asleep so Mom keeps an eye on me so I don’t fall their lap. I LOVE EVERYONE!!!! I better go, please write me soon, my Mom holds me on her lap and reads me your emails. Iwould do it myself but I don’t have thumbs (I don’t know why) wow, if I did I could probably drive the car, what do you think?
