I admit, I still spend time in my crate. Actually, I LOVE my crate. I have the greatest setup which includes a comfortable bed and a place to hide my chew sticks from my brother Elvis.
It is my doggie den. It is so great that sometimes the cats even go in there and sleep! Personally, I don’t like that very much, but I guess I should share. My opinion is that Ashes (one of my brother cats) should find his own crate! However, the cover on my crate cover is embarrassing. Mom used an old Choco-Cat (from Hello Kitty) blanket throw to put over my crate. Well, hello, I’m no kitty! Why are you covering me up with a big cartoon cat? It is time for me to have a more grown up and appropriate cover for my crate.
Well, I thought I was going to have to put my paw down, but luckily my pals at Pet Dreams came to the rescue and sent me an awesome three-piece crate set. The set includes the crate cover, bumper, and a mattress. The cover comes in several attractive colors to match your rents decorating tastes. They come in burgundy, hunter, cream, and denim. Mom picked cream to match the living room carpet. I told her she should get burgundy and buy new carpet to match my crate but she didn’t go for it. It also comes in six sizes to match all the standard crates for a great fit. The medium size fit my crate perfectly and the mattress is comfortable and completely machine washable!
At first, I was like, why do I need bumpers? I’m not a puppy. Mom explained to me that it is for my safety. I lean against the crate bars a lot when I sleep and the bumpers will help protect me from getting my tail, collar, or paw stuck between the bars. She said it was like a whole lot of pillows for me and I will like it. According to Mom, the bumper was very easy to install. It is attached with Velcro to the side of the crate. The cover is also very nice and gave me some privacy. I didn’t have to deal with Elvis peeking in or the cats bugging me when I took a nap. This crate set made me feel very comfortable in my crate!
