Meet Carmen!

Written by Rachel Phelps

Isn’t this doggie sooooooooo pretty…I love her ears! Hmm I wonder if she would like to meet a younger Westie dog who also likes to play fetch? Hehehehe Carmen is 13 years young! Wow! She earned an Honorable Mention in the Iams Senior Plus Play Young Stay Young contest. Here is her story written by her mommy:

Carmen came to me as a rescued dog from a broken home. She was extremely introverted. The only thing I knew about her was she loved to play fetch. To promote her socially, I started her on a regular diet of Iams and took her out to play fetch. Did that ever bring her out of her shell! She loves fetch so much that she literally exhausts us throwing the ball. If you try to stop playing she sits and looks at you with the ball in her mouth until you throw again. It has helped to keep her young.

Do you have a cat or dog that refuses to act their age? If you do, why not enter them in the Iams Contest!!

IAMS just started a pretty cool contest recently, and it will go on until June 3rd. It is on their Facebook page and it is called “Play Young, Stay Young.” Each week, for eight weeks, the team at Iams will pick one cat and one dog winner (11 years of age or older) based on a photo and a 100-word essay submission from pet parents. It is super simple to enter! They are looking for pets that essentially refuses to act their age. Each winning animal will receive a year’s supply of Iams Senior Plus dog food! Wow that is a lot of dog food!!

So I see you jumping up and down at the computer screen saying I HAVE to enter … how do I do it? It is easy go here: https://www.facebook.com/Iams/app_407328195948477
