The Tiniest Tiger, Red Carpet Cat Walk, Blog Tour and Giveaway! – CLOSED

Written by Rachel Phelps

I am so excited to support a good cat friend of mine for her first ever walk on the red carpet. Gracey has designed a great hipster purse for you humans that is not only fashionable, but also supports a great cause! Proceeds from the sale of the bag benefit global conservation programs, with Lion Guardians getting the “lion’s share”. The bag has an outline of a cat quilted into the fabric (I asked her what about us dogs? She said “don’t worry, I won’t forget you!”). It has several pockets both inside and out to hold all your “stuff”. I asked Gracey, “Where do the poop bags go?” She just looked at me and rolled her eyes. Then, with a sarcastic cat tone, she said, “Not in this bag … the fact that you expect your owners to carry your waste is just disgusting … learn to bury!” Another great feature of the bag is it is made in the USA. Mom took her hipster bag with her to the Global Pet Expo and carried it around Walt Disney World. It stood up well, was very stain resistant (yes there was a ketchup incident), and she even got a few compliments last week too!

Well, since I have the inside connection with Gracey, and I’m one of the dogs she actually likes … hehehe … she has let me join her blog tour to give away one of her bags to YOU, my pals. On top of winning your very own bag, there is a surprise! There is over $240 worth of cat products inside! I have to admit that with the bag Gracey sent me for my Mom, I was a good boy and gave my cat products to my brother and sister cats. There are several toys that have catnip inside and they were an instant hit with the cats. I have never seen my brother cats “under the influence” before. They were a hoot rolling around and playing. They were even nice to me for a change! I need to find some more catnip ASAP … hehehe!
One winner will get their very own The Tiniest Tiger Hipster Bag with over $240 in products inside. Gracey will even ship to the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia if the winner is from there! So follow the instructions below in the Rafflechopper widget, and tell me why you want to win this neat bag!

P.S. Afraid you won’t win my giveaway? Go here and enter the giveaways of the other blogs (each one has a bag to give away too!) to increase your chances. http://conservationcubclub.com/red-carpet-cat-event/cat-walk-blog-tour/

  • My cat is a 12 year-old ginger long-haired boy, he might even have some Maine Coon ancestors! His favourite past time is to sleep. On me. He also loves his food and special treats such as cheese and cream. He’s an indoor-only cat and on nice sunny days as today he spends his time on his bed by the window looking at the birds outside (as he’s doing right now!).

  • My name is Teddy. I am 14, and my sister Sophers is 3. We have to live with a dog, but she knows we run the house! I would love to win the bag!

  • I have 3 sweet kitties – Audi, who is about 10.5, my chatty grey tiger girl; Hondo, who is about 3.5, my large orange tiger boy (he’s 16.5 lbs!); and our newest edition, Sammy, who is about 2.5, my tuxie girl. I love them to pieces and would do anything for them!! <3

  • Love this bag and would love to have one of my very own. My cat Enzo has been very sick this week and winning this bag would cheer both of us.

  • I love all the cats i had in my life but the ones that i will always remember the most are Caramel which was my mom’s cat and believe she was very talkative and also a mama’s baby too. Then of course was my baby her name was Tit-Cue which is French for Little Butt. Yes, i know a funny name but she never answered to her real name which was Cindy. One day my mom was calling her and of course my cat was very independent cat and never answered her so she called her Tit-Cue and my cat actually turned around and so her name was now Tit-Cue.
I could tell you all about the cats i had but i could be here writing forever so these are the only 2 cats that i had and will miss for the rest of my life. We had to get them a new home because of my allergies were getting worse by the moment but they are never far from my thoughts and always be in my heart.

  • … About our two cats: Joey is 16 years old and is scared of almost anything because his previous owner abused him and then gave him away … all before he was six months old. He’s the sweetest cat ever! Chloe is six years old and she was given to a shelter when she was four … her owners didn’t want her anymore. She’s the funniest cat we’ve ever had and we can’t understand why she was given away. I can definitely say that our cats’ previous owners’ loss is our gain!
    P.S. – You’re an awfully cute dog!

  • I have 3 amazing cats. Their names are Annabelle (Bella), Ashlyn (Ash), and Kirrah.

Bella is a 3 year old gray & black tabby cat. Miss Bella definitely has an attitude. She is the queen bee and is not afraid to put a human or another animal in their place. Overall she is a sweetheart deep down.. Even though she doesn’t like to show it often.

Ash is a 2 year old calico cat. Ash was a rescue from out of state. We drove 7 hours total to get her but she was well worth it!! She is a mother hen to the other two cats and loves being a lap-cat. She is very mouthy and likes to talk and talk and talk.

Kirrah is a 1 year old longhair. We suspect there is some Maine coon in her heritage somewhere because she looks just like one. Kirrah completed our little family. We got her as a rambunctious little fluff ball and she really hasn’t changed much! She absolutely loves attention and follows me around the entire house. She always thinks she needs into everything and always needs to know what I am doing. Kirrah always greets us happily at the door when we come home. She, like her sister Ash, loves to talk to me and my husband.

All three of the babies sleep on our bed next to me every night. I get a bit cramped but I don’t mind!

Sorry that this is so long but I always gush about our cats! I love them so much, they’re just like children to us!

  • We adopted my first kitten, Rita in 2008. The next year I helped foster a family of 6 (mom+4 female kittens+1 male). They stayed with Rita and us till they all got adopted, except for one black male kitten. By then, he was such a part of our family and got along with Rita so well, that we just officially adopted him. Now we have two, each one with their own personality and can’t imagine our lives without them!

  • We are truely a diverse family as I have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 6 horses. The oldest cat is Charlie and he is a flame point Siamese Manx (he has NO tail!) and the youngest is Misha who is a 4 year old, 5 pound Llilac Point. She is full grown, but very tiny. She was born on Leap day, so maybe she has stayed kitten size because she has only had one birthday? lol

Anyway… love you and love Gracie!

    • Cats can have no tails?!?! How did that happen? did a dog pull his tail? hehehe. (so just kidding 🙂

  • I have a lot of kittehs, so won’t tell you all about them. But I will tell you that *I love you, Preston*. You are a cutiepie. And if Gracey likes you, you have to be great. Glad your kittehs enjoyed the catnip and they were nice to you. Hope you found them a bunch more catnip!

  • I have two cats, Sunny and Josie. Sunny is six years old. When I adopted him, he was a two-year-old shelter cat scheduled for euthanasia. He is handicapped (one front leg missing, one front leg deformed) and had a GI tract infection. We took him home and spoiled him rotten and he’s a happy, healthy kitty now. We got Josie three years ago; she’s four now. She’s a 15-pound “Baby Huey” of a kitty and definitely the boss of the house. She’s a little tomboy too! They love each other like brother & sister…which means there’s a lot of teasing and occasional squabbling too. We just love them both so much!

  • We like YOU!!! BOL!! We don’t have a kitty because mama is allergic and had to give hers away. That made her sad. But now she has us to keep her company!!
    xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

  • My 3 kitties are a litter from one of the ferals that my mother took care of. They were born in Mom’s garage during an ice storm, and when Momma Cat was recuperating from her spaying, I took the kittens in. That was 9 years ago, right after I lost my beloved Gizmo.

Bomber has diabetes and pemphigus, and the cost of his medications keeps me from spending on cool things like the bag and all the goodies, so it sure would be a nice treat for all of us to win.

  • My cat’s name is Bowie and he’s an orange kitty. But I also like you! What’s not to love about dogs AND cats?! 🙂

  • I’m in this contest for my friend Veta’s two cats, Grayson and Polly…they’re such a joy and I love them like my own!

  • I love my furbabies! I have three cats! Fuzz is a Maine Coon monster! He’s huge, fluffy and is such a love monkey, always laying on my lap looking for extra petting time. Sissy is a female 1/2 tabby, 1/2 Bengal. She’s totally temperamental and sassy. She’s one of those cats that only wants attention when SHE wants it. LOL. Finally, there’s my baby Koli. Koli is a short-haired black tabby. He’s soooo sweet and only 7 mths old. He’s my snuggle bunny! See, I’m an cat lady! LOL!!! Thanks for the chance to win!!

  • My kitties, Daegan (medium-haired black Turkish Angora) and Liaden (short-haired Russian Blue), are VERY mischievous! Liaden has an affinity with window blinds and Daegan will chew on anything made of paper. However, they are the best at giving unconditional love! I often wake up to discover them sleeping on either side of me (a kitty sandwich, as I call it). I love being their “Mama Cat”! =^..^=

  • my cat is a 7 year old named Chino with primarily white fur. He currently weighs 17 pounds, but we are working on slimming him down! He must be part siamese and has something called nystagmus (common in siamese), where his eyes go back and forth very rapidly all the time. His sight is perfectly fine though!

  • We have three kitties. Shadow is our oldest. He’s 17 and my baby. We also have Peanut and Rielly, who are both sisters and about 2 years old. They’re active and keep each other busy.
    Thanks so much

  • Hi Preston! *high paw* I share my home with Toby, a 19 year old senior and two mostly black kitties, Wren & Sparrow. They’re only 1 1/2 years old, so they’re still wild kitties! Thank you so much fur a chance to win this, even ‘tho it’s kittiecentric, bol!

  • Since I’ve just moved into my feline sister, Smoki’s habitat, I have upset her world. I would love to win one of these bags because there’s plenty of cat stuff I could give to her! Then, maybe she won’t hiss at me so much.

  • Morning Preston i share my home with 2 kids er Cats-Mistie is 13 he is a stray i gave a home then >sigh>Rose is 6 she is a Diva she is a mixed long-hair her owner did not want her she was 5 weeks old when she moved in with us

  • My cat is an American Shorthair Tabby ( I think) I’ve had him since i was fresh out of college in 1998. My kids love him and he has a close bond with my 6 yr old- his kitty bed is in his bedroom, so they are like brothers 🙂

  • I had a black cat who always sat beside me, anywhere in the house. I misss him. This hipster purse is just what I need and would be awesome to use while on my honeymoon.

  • I cannot find the “Like” Prestonspeaks on Facebook and pressed Enter and cannot undo this. Can you help… I don’t want you to think I am cheating. 🙂

  • My cat was named Rocky. He was the only survivor of a litter of kittens born by our old coal furnace. His mother picked him up and dropped him on me in my bed when I was a little girl and I hand fed him and he survived. He used to stand on top of me and rock back and forth on his paws to get my attention, hence the name Rocky.

  • Our cats name is Jewels — she is a seal point siamese cat and is about 18 years old. She is an old girl but still feisty!

  • We have 3 cats and 2 dogs. Our newest cat, Pickles is FULL O’ BEANS! Knick Knacks, food or anything breakable is put in a drawer or locked in a cupboard. You can guess why.

  • I have 2 fur babies that I adopted as stray kittens. They are just now about 6 mos old and boy! are they a handful! but so fun to watch. 🙂

  • I have two tabby cats. Anfissa is 7 years old, she is a real lady, very gracious, smart and loveable. Sammy is 10 months old. He loves to play with his toys. I adopted them both from pet shelter.

  • I have 2 cats Powder and Casper!! Ive had them for over 10 years! They are my babies!

    ptavernie at yahoo dot com

  • We have recently become parents to 2 lady cats…Shadow and Tiger!
Tiger is the huntress while Shadow is a lady of leisure! They have made our household very happy!

    Thanks

  • We have 7–yes SEVEN cats–strange how all of them are spayed or neutered but our numbers keep growing! They are, in no particular order, Max, Buster, Daisy, Wicket, T.J., Maggie, and Cheeto.

  • I have a 5-year-old male fluffy tuxedo cat. He is 14 lb (big boy) and we have a very close connection 🙂 I rescued him from the shelter and it was one of the best decisions for me 🙂

  • My cats name is Baby, and she is a DIVA, just like her mother (moi)! She is a long hair black kitty, but gets shaved in the spring, so she looks like a little poodle and has a pom pom tail. LOL I love her to pieces!

  • I am so fussy about purses, but this one is the one for me. i love it. dont have a cat but could definetly donate products to local shelter!

  • I use to have a cat her name was Molly and she was wonderful..sooner or later I will get another one

  • Hey, I tried subscribing to your newsletter but it wouldn’t let me, and I already marked done on the contest form. Can you please email me the subscription link, thank you!

  • I have two cats, Boots and Bruin, and they are the loves of my life. My mother and I stopped by a large community yard sale one day and someone had free kittens in a dog crate. I took one (my Bruin), and she looked so sad and lonely that I went back and picked out Boots. They are now almost a year old, and love playing with my husband and I and each other.

  • Your blog is ADORABLE Preston and so are you!!! We do not have a cat but we are thinking about getting one. Thanks for the chance to win.

  • my cat is handsome, likes to cuddle and play, he keeps me entertained and is affectionate when he wants to be. he also gets along with dogs, which is a huge plus!

  • We have an orange tabby named Milo he just showed up one day and walked in the house. We put up fliers and ads but know one claimed him. So he just moved in with us.

  • I have 2, both had apparently been abandoned. Smokey is a 12 yr old male that my grandson found in a snowdrift when he was a kitten, and Sable is a female that I found in my yard when she came up and started loving my legs. With her, I waited awhile to make certain that she didn’t belong to a neighbor (I live in the country, and although I keep cats indoors, some of the nearby people do not). I left food and water out, and after about a week, took her to the vet for a checkup and brought her into my house. After a period of adjustment, the 2 get along fine, and she is definitely a lap cat!

  • I have a 7 year old cat called Tilly. I’ve had her since she was a kitten. I recently moved from UK to US and had to pack the poor kitty up in a box and put her on a plane. She seems to have settled in here now though and I’m so happy she’s here with me.

  • My cat loves to meet me at the door when I get home, I don’t know how she knows what time it is but she’s there all the time when I get home.

  • I have 2 beautiful cats that I adopted sometime ago… They’re very…. rambunctious, to say they least, haha.

  • I have two cats. Star is white and fluffy with tabby markings and blue eyes. Kaiser is grey fat and fluffy but he’s one of those awesome cats that my kids can beat on and he just takes it. Star hides from the kids lol.

  • I have three crazy cats. Two were stranded on the side of the highway as kittens and the other my son asked me to babysit, four years ago.

  • I have 3 wonderful boys, one of which is 20 and blind. He still enjoys life and has his home memorized. I have to be careful about moving things about. They would ALL love the contents of the bags I am sure. Cats and curiosity! AK, Tux, and Domino would just love the gifts.

  • i have two….Purrl and Meanie Margaret….they are excellent and spoiled..
Meanie is obsessed with lizards and Purll likes to sleep….

  • I have two fantastic cats. Mosephus is a male domestic shorthair. He chose me at a farm where my friend was looking for a kitten. I picked him up and he snuggled with me and purred. Although I wasn’t looking for a cat at that time, I fell in love and brought him home. I also have Phantom, a female domestic shorthair. My husband adopted her from the humane society 3 years ago and brought her home as my Christmas gift. She had spent most of her life sick and living at the shelter save a few months she was in a foster home to give birth to her kittens. They are wonderful furbabies that I wouldn’t trade for the world!

  • I no longer have a cat (mine was quite elderly), but I have had some really funny cats throughout the years. My first cat, Mister, attacked the mailman. We actually had to pen him up when anyone came to the house. He was an attack dog in a cat’s body.

    ezmerelda at mail dot com

  • I have an elderly cat that has been a solid fixture in our home for the last 17 years. I also have a younger cat we rescued from a bad situation 2 years old and she has been a wonderful addition to our family.
    reejen5 at gmail dot com

  • I had a 30lb cat named Garfield. He lived a long happy and content life but sadly he is gone to a better place now. He used to extend his claws and eat french style green beans from the can. They were his favorite!

  • I don’t have a cat but I like you because i can see you have a sense of humour, Im entering for my sister-in-law who has 3 cats, Thanks for the contest and good luck to all:)

  • I love your page and so do my four dogs lol, but i actually do also have a cat 😉 We got my cat Hammerhead, right after Katrina, how he made it through that storm we’ll never know, might have something to do with the fact that he weighs 28 lbs. He actually weighs four times more than my smallest dog lol. Being that we got him as a stray tom cat that when he was around 2 years old, he didn’t think much of our household. It took us over a year, before he actually let us touch him and before he even remotely started to tolerate our dogs 🙂 Now, we can’t get away from him lol, he has actually broken our bedroom door, to the point of us not being able to close it anymore, he just doesn’t like to be left out 😉 I could go on and on, but i think, I would take up way too much space on here lol.

  • I have a cat named Cinderbear. My mom found her wandering around her house hungry and afraid and many years later she is a wonderful companion, even though she’s a bit crazy just like any cat.

  • We have two cats that are beyond rotten and mischievous, but we love them any way.
kate contest girl @ gmail . com

  • I have two cats. Smoochie is my lap cat and never wants to leave my side while Izzy if my playful cat always running around the house.

  • I have a orange & white 7 month old male. His name is Pooper-Nickle Tigga-Boo. He’s the love of my life. I’ve never had a cat love me so much.

  • Preston, we don’t have a cat.

Over the years we have had 2 Westies. Our Westie Charlie was over 100 years old (in people years) when he died about a month ago. We were heart-broken to lose him. West Highland White Terriers are the best breed and Charlie was the best dog ever – in my opinion! We know you are a super dog, too!

    • We are so sorry to hear about your Charlie..I’m sure he was one very special dog! My last foster foster brother name was Charlie too and he had spunk to him so any dog named Charlie has to be one amazing dog!

  • Two tame barn cats, rescued from a shelter…Mama and Theo (mother and son). They chase each other around right when we go to bed, and Theo paws at hubby’s head in the morning to get fed.

  • I have a long haired tortie named Pumpkin who is extremely spoiled and a cute gray and white tiger stripe named Sheeba who is quickly learning how to become spoiled.

  • I had some difficulty with the Facebook entry. I sent a friend request so I hope that was the correct action.

  • My cat, Lola, is an indoor/outdoor cat and I can go for a week or more sometimes without ever seeing her. Other times, she won’t leave my lap/side for a week or more. Wackiest cat I ever had, but she’s GREAT!

  • i love my cat–he sleeps a lot and most of the time–it’s in my lap–i don’t own him–he owns me 🙂 lol

  • I have 3 kitties, but I work with a rescue that could raffle off the hipster bag to make money for microchip equipment they need.

  • Hi, Preston. I have five cats, all rescues, two of them with special medical needs. Seamus is 12 years old, FIV+. Paddy and Abigail, littermates, are 9 years old. Monty is 4 years old and has to have special food because of urinary tract issues. Lulu is the baby of the family at 2-1/2 years old. Thanks so much for helping Gracey with her promotion!

  • I am fortunate to be the guardian of two rescue cats who returned the favor and rescued me, my beloved Mister and Purrl. I would love the bag and am keeping my fingers crossed I win. Purrl and Mister have their paws crossed too. Purrl crossed her eyes; I thanked her and told her that wasn’t necessary. cats, eh? *sigh*

  • My cat Bailey is my little princess. She is 16 years young and going strong! She would love to have a little bling!

  • I have 5 girls! All rescues! 🙂
Souixsie is a beautiful gray & black tabby with a ginger belly. Someone abandoned her at my job & she had cigarette burns (vet determined) on her back & neck & her hip was broken. She was only 3 months old & when I held her, despite her injuries she just purred. I tried to take her to several rescues but was basically told she was not worth saving. So I called my vet & he came in on a Saturday to see her & helped me save her. She had to have multiple surgeries & it now the sweetest most loving girl. 🙂
Sammi was born to a feral cat in a co-workers garage on the 4th of July. She is a little tuxedo kitty& was the runt of the litter & @ 3 & 1/2 years old is still only 5lbs. She is a little firecracker! She really only loves me & Souixsie – she barely tolerates other humans.
Surrey is a Maine Coon mix that walked up to me in my yard & threw herself at my feet & said “Meh”. She was only 3 months old & after an exhaustive search of my neighborhood with no one claiming her – I decided she picked me. So she stayed & has been dubbed by all my friends as “Love Baby” cuz she LOVES everyone!
Saki is a Siamese/Tabby mix with beautiful blue eyes (slightly crossed). She was also found at my job – terrified & hungry (we have a feral colony at work & she was trying to eat). The vet said Saki was declawed & fixed & approx 5-7 years old. (no microchip!:( ). She had a hard time integrating with the other girls but after about a year she has settled in & is doing fine. She is a character & very nosy & sweet.
Sassy is the newest on the mix. She is 7 years old & lived her entire life in a small bedroom. When her human moved out of her mom’s house she decided she no longer wanted the cat & her mom did not want it – which is why Sassy lived her life in the kids bedroom – & she was gonna take her to the pound. 🙁 So Sassy moved in with me in January. She was never taken to the vet except as a kitten when she was fixed & declawed. Sassy is having the time of her life at my house (which is like a jungle gym for kitties) she is nervous about the other kitties but so far they seem to be doing well. 🙂

I only recently discovered your blog but do love it!! 🙂
Thanks for the opportunity to win the hipster bag!

  • We don’t have cats of our own, but we have been watching my sister in laws cats for the last few months and they are a handful. All the cats I ever had growing up were rather passive and did their own thing, but not these two. They tear through the house day and night, shred everything in sight, need more attention than a newborn and mooch for food like crazy, but at least they’re cute lol

  • I love your blog! I have a dog and my parents have Cairn Terriers who look so much like Preston! My sister does have a cat though 🙂 Your blog is awesome and I love the amazing giveaways. Thanks for this opportunity!

    Naomi

  • I have a cat named Elvis – he is starting a diet next week – not the king of rock he once was 🙁

  • I have 4 cats–Sara, Pixie, Digit and Roger the Shrubber. Preston, I like you because you remind me of our dog Jasper–he’s surrounded by cats, too!

  • My cat Max was adopted when he was a year old from the shelter. He’s had major surgery five years ago and has had health problems since then but he doesn’t let it affect him too much as he loves to play with his soul mate Heidi our dog and loves when it’s times for treats!

  • We have one cat, he is about 2 and a half and his name is Carby. We adopted him shortly after moving to FL and he’s my baby and our 1 year old’s best friend.
