Rupert’s Simply Smoochable Spray Review

Written by Rachel Phelps

This fall, I went to the St. Lois Pet Expo and met some great new regional pet companies and learned about some new innovated products. One of them is Ruperts Simply Smoochable Doggie and Kitty Mouth Spay. This product comes in a small bottle and is a daily mouth spray to help control bad breath in dogs and cats. The human raises us dogs upper lip and sprays it directly on our tooth and gums. The directions say 4-6 sprays per day.

Now for those who have read my blog on a regular basis, you know one of my foster brothers (who will remains nameless..to protect the guilty) has coprophagia and has really bad breath sometimes after a late afternoon snack in the litter box or out in the yard (don’t worry we are working on it..pineapples in our food is working wonders!) .. So we thought we might as well go to the dog with the worst breath to try this product out. The ultimate test! But first, let me tell you what is in it. It has dog safe ingredients which means no xylitol in it ( a sugar alcohol sweeter in it that can be deadly to dogs). According to the ingredient list it has distilled water, propanediol, chlorhexidine, and clove oil.

Mom was able to get a squirt of the spray in mine and the fosters dog’s mouth before we ran away. I have to admit it doesn’t taste that great. I shook and shook my head. The owner of the company warmed mom that it wasn’t sweet and it sometimes takes a while for us doggies to get use to it. Their website says you can put the spray directly on the toothbrush or in your hand and we may lick out of your hand instead.

However for the real test..mom and dad put their noses right up to the foster dog’s mouth and didn’t smell poop just a clove scent. It did neutralize the odor. So this bottle is going with the dog who will remand nameless to his forever home!

To learn more about Ruperts Simply Smoochable Doggie and Kitty Mouth Spray please go to their website at: . You can also order a small bottle for $9.99 or large for $16.99.

Overall, if it can neutralize the potty mouth of the dog who will remain nameless then we give it a nose up!

Disclosure –The spray was provided to my rents and I free of charge. However, opinions expressed here are my own.
