Dog Wedding

Written by Rachel Phelps

I just got back from Barkworld and before I tell you about how amazing it was I just had to share with you that I went to a real dog wedding! Two dogs from Atlanta met at Atlanta Dog Spa, had puppy dog eyes for each other and with the blessing of their families they decided to get married. And I don’t mean a small ceremony. Their families went all out and had a full wedding, reception, DJ, meal, florist, real wedding bands, videographer, photographer, and even a weddingplanner! Mom said this wedding was just as big as mommy and dad’s wedding and probably more expensive! I have to admit the wedding was very beautiful and all the dogs who attended were dressed to the nine’s. The boy dogs in the wedding even wore a Kippah since the groom’s family was Jewish. There was a breaking of the glass well kinda ..there was a glass shaped dog biscuit that was broken. I wore a tux and my date Carma wore a very beautiful leopard printed jacket and booties. Aren’t we a cute couple?

Finally, we want to wish the bride and groom Stedman and Phoenix a happy marriage! That brings up a question…is it time for me to settle down..I am about to turn three..hmmmm

  • Preston, I was honored to be your date. This was my first long trip and wedding and I remember it fur ever! You looked so handsome and you were a complete gentlemen.
With as busy as your life is now I just don’t think you should try to settle down. Maybe in a year or two but right now.

Paws and tail wags to you my friend!
(p.s. I will say little Bella would look pawtastic in a wedding dress ;-))

  • Glad you had fun at the wedding you guys. You both looked amazing. And Carma, thank you, I do like a nice white dress. My Pet’rent does not buy me many dresses, but he does get me Halloween costumes. I rocked my Supergirl costume, maybe Preston could be my Superman:)
