Milk Bones Healthy Favorites Review

Written by Rachel Phelps

Due to my scribe’s lack of technical ability we are re-posting this product review. If you already read it ..sorry

Hi Pals, I recently had the opportunity to try out a new product in the Milk-Bone product line called Healthy Favorites. First of all I love when we get treats to review, yum, yum, yum! And milk bones did not disappoint me at all!

First, let me give you some background on this new product. The healthy favorites come in granola biscuits and chewy treats. Both kinds come in beef and chicken flavors. The Beef is made with real beef, whole wheat flour, carrots, rolled oats, and flaxseed. The chicken is made with real chicken, whole wheat flour, sweet potatoes, rolled oats, and flaxseed. All four varieties have natural ingredients, no fillers, animal by-products, artificial colors, or artificial preservatives. We tried the chewy kind. They are delicious and both Elvis and I gave it two paws up!. But the real test was our foster dog Baxter. He has alot of health problems and has a very limited diet. Mom went over milkbone’s ingredients list and determined it was ok for him. Baxter loved them as well and gave it 2 paws up and a belly rub since he ate most of the beef bag. Once Baxter has food you don’t get between him and his treats so Elvis and I said that is ok Baxter..we don’t want any more! Here is a photo of Baxter chowing down!

The suggested retail price is between $2.99 to $3.59 which isn’t bad for all natural dog treats. Next time your pet parents are out shopping pick up a bag for us fur kids!

  • Our dog has had an allergic reaction after eating this product. So I gave the box to a friend and just received word that now their dog has a rash and itching terribly!! PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Whatever “healthy” they are putting into it……is NOT good for our dogs!

    • Sorry to hear about your dog…we didn’t have any reaction nor any of the other dogs who tried out the product in our training class but dogs react to differently to different ingredients in different products. I hope the rash went away soon…itching is not fun and as my brother Elvis learned when we first got him it can lead to the funnel of shame!
