Three to get ready now go dog go!”

Welcome My New Foster Brother Elvis!

Last weekend we went to Nashville to visit Sherry with Westie Rescue Southeast and to pick up my new foster brother– named Elvis! He is quite a rocking dog bol!   Elvis is part of the Schindler Mill 24 that the Westie Rescue Alliance purchased in October.   So he has spent his life as a breeding dog.  But he is now retired and we will be keeping him at our house until he finds his forever home. Elvis was also part of the group Mommy and I transported from St. Louis to Nashville.  So I already knew him from the road trip.  Elvis turned 4 years old  in September and is  sweet as can be and loves to be petted!  He is kinda shy from his puppy mill days.  It is so much fun watching him figure things out.  He discovered what a cat was and is kinda obsessed with chasing my brothers and sister around the house. Elvis even has his first cat scratch on his nose! hehehe Mom hopes that this stops soon for the cats sake.  He also is working on the whole house training thing.  So far he knows he goes outside but won’t go on grass yet just concrete.  But mom said as his foster brother I have an important job ahead of me.  I need to teach him how to be a pet dog  since he only knows a puppy mill life.So far so good..we get along and he follows me around alot.

But Elvis is up for adoption with WRSE. He is up to date on all vaccinations, tested heart worm negative and has been neutered. He has a very handsome face and is a very sturdy little guy. Don’t worry his coat will grow back very soon and he will be one very handsome westie!
