Vet visit

Written by Rachel Phelps

Hello world!  It’s me Preston again.  Well I thought I would share with you some of my health problems.  I am a year and five months old and as I hang my head in shame I’m still not fully housetrained.  I have tried and tried, and my parents have worked with me with several different techniques.  At first I liked to mark everything (what young guy doesn’t?) but then I had surgery to fix that, as mom would say.  But I kept having accidents.  So back to the vet I went.   I am having bladder infections and have already had three since I was a pup.  So three weeks ago I went and they gave me some special mommy treats every day for two weeks.  Mommy calls them pill pockets with antibiotics in them.  I went back on Saturday for a follow up and they made me pee in a ladle to collect a sample.  Well the test came back and it says my bladder was still  “acting up.”  The infection has gotten worse.  So another 10 days of special mommy treats with a different stronger antibiotic.   Then back to the vet for another test and maybe an x-ray to see if I have bladder stones.  I don’t think I do because I know for a fact I don’t eat stones!  They are too hard to chew and swallow, believe me I have tried back in my pup days.  Above is a picture of me on the vets table.  See I’m not too happy..they had just stuck a thermometer where no thermometer should go!
