True Science @VetIQ Hip and Joint Chews and Minties Dental Treats Review

True Science VetIQ Chews
Written by Rachel Phelps

Hey my pals! I have two great products to share with you today from True Science. One is a type of chew and the other is a dental treat.

VetIQ Hip and Joint Chews

A few years ago my dog sister Daisy had a gnarly surgery to save her leg when she was in rescue. She had broken it at eight months old and had a four-hour surgery that included using pins to set it and make it functional again. As far as how she broke it, according to the shelter the previous owner said Daisy jumped off a deck. At the time we didn’t believe it because it just didn’t sound very likely. After knowing Daisy for a few years though, we know she will jump off anything, so the story seems a lot more possible. For example, every time she goes down our stairs she skips the last four steps. I guess she didn’t learn her lesson!

She healed up, but the vet told Mom that when she gets old she would have joint issues due to the break. For years now Daisy has been on some type of joint treats, supplements, or chews to try to prevent problems. So when True Science sent me a bag of their VetIQ Hip and Joint Chews. I passed them right on to Miss Daisy and said chew up … hehehe.

These hip and joint chews are made in the US and all the ingredients are sourced here too. They have a triple-action formula to support our cartilage, joints, and muscles. The chews include MSM which promotes joint flexibility and Creatine to support muscle health. There is 500 mg of glucosamine per chew. I’m not sure what that is, but Mom tells me it is for joints so it is a good thing. According to Daisy the chews taste like chicken. No seriously, I know you humans say everything tastes like chicken, but this really does taste like chicken!

Vet IQ Minties Dental Treats

Mom was so happy that True Science sent me a bag of Vet IQ Minties Dental Treats. She said lately my breath is starting to have a faint resemblance to the garbage can. Yes, trust me, I was insulted. I didn’t smell it at all, but I knew it was about time for my dental cleaning. Also, with all my traveling I don’t brush my teeth as often as I should.

The Vet IQ Minties Dental treats are perfect for trips. They come in different sizes to accommodate all size pups from those that can fit in a purse to Great Dane size. Personally, I think size medium is best for me. All the ingredients are sourced in the USA and the treats are made in the USA. For us pups with allergies, they are free of corn, soy, and are gluten free. There are also no artificial flavors or animal by-products.

The way these treats are able to clean our pearly whites is their unique shape and texture. It also doesn’t hurt that they put five natural breath fresheners in them to help control the “garbage breath.”

  • It’s so good to hear about the good joint supplement. When I had Buddy, he had to have surgery to his two back legs. Yes, even had to wear that Elizabeth collar! Now, though, I see that there are soft collars fashioned after the human hear rest. Just the way Petey flies thru the air, and also misses 4 steps, he may have surgery in his future. The Minties, I will definitely give a try. Petey also has garbage can breath. He doesn’t like me to brush his teeth. Keep up the good work Preston and family!

    • Edit – soft collars after the human head rests. You would think by now, I would check my typing before I push comment button. Sorry, my friends.
