The dogs have taken over the house! | @Nutrish #sponsored

Written by Rachel Phelps

If you have a pet, you know that we quickly become an important part of the family unit. You are our whole world and we love to spend time with you. Over time you will change your home and your lives to make sure we are content and happy. It could be that you don’t buy that leather couch because you have a cat with claws, or you pass on that fancy door because you can’t install a doggie door in it. Today, I want to show you around my crib. I will show you through photos how my home has gone to us dogs!

The backyard – Yep, you are seeing that right. I have my very own fire hydrant. It is in the prefect spot to do my business at home. Don’t I have the coolest rents that they don’t care having a hydrant in the middle of their back yard?

The gate – My house is divided up for the comfort of the pets. We have a pet gate up to keep us dogs away from the cats when they want a break from us.

The furniture – Regular furniture just isn’t acceptable for us dogs. We need furniture that has been Westie “pimped.” Elvis’s crate may look like a regular table, but it has a dog crate with a locking door.

We also have our very own westie sized couch. Some call it a pet bed, but I disagree. It is designer furniture that just happens to be my size. pets are family - preston at homeOur clothes – We admit it, we aren’t the best at putting our dirty clothes in the laundry basket. If you come into my house at any moment there are probably dog-clothing items out. Here, Mom is hanging our coats to dry from where we have been playing in the snow today.

So yes, our home doesn’t look like the magazines and most of the time there are dirty paw prints on the floors, loose litter around the litter box, an indention on the back of the couch where someone has taken a nap, or toys spread all over the living room. However, I feel this pet mess shows that we are truly a part of the family and are loved.
