Written by Rachel Phelps

As an Amazing Pet Expo official online ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.  Blue Dog Shelter is one of those that will be at the Beantown Pet Expo show on April 12th at the South Shore Expo Center from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption.

About Blue Dog Shelter

The mission of the Blue Dog Shelter is to ease suffering of unwanted and unprotected animals. We have been blessed to have accomplished great things within our community, our local families, and local schools and helping the deserving unwanted and abused dogs. We have successfully placed more than 1,400 dogs since 2000 and in addition, this past year, we have developed a Youth Educational Program called Sakari’s Kids that has an anti-bullying message, teaches children to be compassionate and kind to all creatures, to be positive roll models in their communities and to be responsible pet owners.

Hi I’m McGee

photos.petfinder.comMcGee is a special little dog who really needs a job! He is a mixed breed dog that we think is Corgi and Cattle dog and he really wants to herd something! McGee is about 9 months old, weighs 29 pounds, loves the beach and gets along with other dogs. He wants to chase small animals so he can’t live with cats, other small animals or even small children. If you are familiar with Corgis, we think you would like McGee so please come to meet him during regular shelter hours.

Hi I’m Wags

photos.petfinder.comWags is a happy adult mixed breed dog who wags her tail all the time! She is one of a large number of dogs rescued by our partners in Tennessee from an over crowded home. Wags love to play with other dogs but is just as happy to be with people. She is curious about cats – she likes to sniff them but otherwise seems okay with the cats she has met. Wags is only about 25 pounds so is a great size for any home.

So stop by Blue Dog Shelter booth at the Beantown Pet Expo and say Preston sent you!
