As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows. St. Louis Scottish Rescue (STLSTR) is one of those that will be at the St. Louis Pet lovers Expo at the St. Charles Convention Center SATURDAY (October 27h 2013) from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption. This rescue has a special spot in my heart because I met them then I was a pup and they invite me to all their event even though I’m not a scottie. I have walked in several parades with them supporting STLSTR as their little white dog relative!
About The St. Louis Scottish Rescue Rescue
STRSTR is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and “furever” re-homing purebred Scottish Terriers.
Meet Layla
Layla is a 7 year old scottie who came into rescue when her owner passed away. Layla gets along well with other dogs, and is very outgoing. She warms up quickly to strangers and is always ready for a new adventure. Layla is crate trained, house trained, HW-, spayed and current on vaccinations. Don’t let the floppy ears fool you! Layla is scottie through and through! The floppy ears are a result of untreated hematomas in her former life. Layla also had some flea issues that caused her to have thin patches in her hair that are filling in nicely. Layla recently had a dental cleaning and she’s ready for a family of her own.
Meet Brin
Brin is a beautiful brindle 5 year old female scottie. She loves people and stakes her claim quickly on her hooman. Brin would be happiest in a home as an only child where she does not have to compete for attention and love. She loves to cuddle and is a definite lap dog. Brin is up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. She recently finished a heat cycle and will be ready for spay soon.
