Kong OFF/ON Squeaker Toy – Review

Written by Rachel Phelps

Kong OFF/ON Squeaker Toy – Review | PrestonSpeaks.com Recently, my pals at Kong sent me a new toy to review.  When it arrived, I think my mom and dad were more excited about it than I was.  It is called the Kong OFF/ON Squeaker toy.  I was so ready to test it right then and there – but mom said, “Preston, we have to leave to go to Las Vegas, lets pack it.”  Mom put it in her checked baggage so unfortunately I couldn’t even play with it on the plane.  When we gave the airline agent our luggage, I tried to tell her to please take care of my toy but she didn’t understand dog (bark).  For the whole plan ride I couldn’t get my mind off of this awesome new toy waiting in my luggage.  Luckily everything arrived safe and sound.

Finally, I Get to Play with the Kong OFF/ON Squeaker Toy!

kong_toy1_wpWhile Mom was setting up my booth at the Vegas Pet Expo, I was finally able to give the Kong OFF/ON toy a proper test run for my review.  I LOVED it.  Mine was shaped like a bear made out of similar material to a tennis ball.  Also, the squeak volume was perfect for a dog.

However, after about 15 minutes and I could tell Mom was getting tired of the noise.  She picked up the Kong toy, fiddled with it, and gave it back to me.  However, now it DID NOT SQUEAK!?!?  What happened?  I know I didn’t break it!  Then Mom picked it up again, fiddled with it more, and it squeaked again.  It was if she had magical squeaker powers!  She then filled me in on the secret. The reason Kong called it a “OFF/ON” toy is because it has a switch our parents can use to turn off the noise.

At first, I was upset.  I thought, why would anyone not want a toy to make a lot of noise? But then I thought about all the times Mom and Dad put up my toys because I was making too much noise.  This switch allows us to keep playing without bugging the rents.  Kong, you’re brilliant!

The Kong OFF/ON Squeaker comes in five different shapes costing between $9.99 to $14.99, based on the sizes. The shapes include a bone in small, medium, and large sizes, as well as a bear, dog, rattle, and whale in medium and large sizes.

Overall, this toy is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed reviewing it.  I give it two paws up.  To learn more and get your own Kong OFF/ON Squeaker, go to:  KONG Off/On Squeaker Bear for Dogs, Medium, Colors Vary

Disclosure –The product was provided to my rents and I free of charge.  However, opinions expressed here are my own.
