Preston Cares NetworkThe Preston Cares Network (PCN) is project lead by PrestonSpeaks.com to show the world few people who join together can make a difference in the lives of animals. PCN is network of caring people and bloggers to help animals. If you’re a rescue group, and you would like us to feature you, please send an e-mail to PrestonCares@PrestonSpeaks.com. This will be a great opportunity to gain additional exposure for your favorite rescue group or shelter.

As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.  Mixed Mutts Rescue is one of those that will be at the  Southern CA Expo show on February 9th with great animals available for adoption.

About Mixed Mutts

We founded Mixed Mutts with only a few purposes in mind. The first and most important was to save as many lives as possible whether it is from the streets or from shelters (nearly all city shelters euthanize pets by the 100’s on a daily basis).  The second was to inform people on the importance of spaying/neutering their pets and giving them the tools to provide a long healthy happy life for their pets as well as finding all of these saved pets loving FOREVER homes.  The two of us have spent many years learning everything we can to help pet’s which eventually brought us to My Pet Garden, where we met in 2010. Upon meeting we decided to turn what Christina had started as a small scale rescue back in 2004 into something more..

Bryson is a male Basenji/Shepherd Mix

Bryson was rescued about 2 years ago from a very loving owner who could no longer care for him(she was hospitalized due to a broken hip). Bryson is an extremely well trained mellow dog who deserves and calm loving environment..

Please give Bryson a chance! He would make a wonderful addition to any family!!!

Archer is a male Terrier/Cairn Terrier Mix

On 3/6/12 we received an email from an amazing realtor stating that he needed help. 45 dogs were left behind at a foreclosed home.

After contacting the local humane society and numerous rescues they still had 31 dogs left and that is where we stepped in. Once seeing and assessing the situation we knew we could not leave one dog behind. We attached one photo above of their living environment before we got to them so you could see why we could not leave them behind.

All of the dogs are adjusting really well and thanks to My Pet Garden they look and smell amazing. They are in the process of being fully vaccinated, fixed and chipped. All of the dogs range 4months-2years according to our vet.

Archer is neutered, up to date on his shots and has transformed AMAZINGLY. He went from a scared of everything in the world dog, to a happy sweetheart. He still has some fear issues and would do best in a house that can provide him with s stable environment. He does well with other dogs, and once you see his little tail wag, it will melt your heart!!

So stop by Mixed Mutts Rescue booth at the Southern CA Pet Expo and say Preston sent you!
