Celebrating Dogs: Share, Remember, Cherish by Jim McCann Book Review

Written by Rachel Phelps

Recently, I received a copy of this book, Celebrating Dogs: Share, Remember, Cherish, from the publisher to review.  Since the book was so small, the first thing I thought was that it was a mini book for a small dog like me!  Actually, Mom told me this book is considered a gift book … that is why it is smaller.

The author Jim McCann is actually the founder of 1-800-flowers.  This book is a collection of heartwarming, quirky, and incredible stories about us doggies from his customers and employees.  Also, all throughout the book are fascinating dog facts.

Mom’s favorite story was about a rescue dog that had a circular scar around his muzzle.  The owner’s friend assumed it was due to some terrible abuse but the owner said that it was a war wound from licking the inside of a peanut jar.  The doggie was so into getting the peanut butter out he didn’t notice that the jar was cutting him.

This book is part of a bigger gift book series that includes Celebrating Love, Celebrating Graduation, and Celebrating Life.

So … if you are looking for that hard to find gift for a dog lover, Celebrating Dogs:  Share, Remember, Cherish, may be the perfect gift to pick up.  To get your own copy, go to: Celebrating Dogs

Disclosure –The book was provided to my rents and I free of charge. However, opinions expressed here are my own.
