YumZies dog treats review

I was recently contacted my Mr. Chewy himself (he is a dog you know … besides being an online pet company). He wanted me to try out a new dog treat named YumZies that was just revealed at Global Pet Expo and tell you all what I thought. I pondered the request for maybe two seconds and said … did you just say treats?!??! I’m in!! Now, I’m a connoisseur of dog treats … so nothing gets by me. I have turned my nose up at some treats that did not meet my standards (my brother Elvis on the other hand will eat ANYTHING!)

YumZies come in four flavors and two sizes (regular and mini). I had the hardest time deciding between Peanut Butter, Cheese, Barbecue Chicken, and my final selection of Hickory Bacon. The treats are made in the USA and the number one ingredient is chicken (yum!). When Mom opened the package and the smell of wonderful treats filled the air, I was like, “Treat please Mom!” They are very yummy! And yes, I did share with Elvis (although Mom made me!)

So you are probably wondering, what is in them? Like I said before, the number one ingredient is chicken … which is a great source of protein for us. There is Glycerin and Lecithin, which from what I am told, makes the treats sweeter and gives it some texture. YumZies are also gluten-free. So instead of flour, they use pea powder (just don’t tell your dog your sneaking in vegetables!). This powder is also a protein and helps with digestion. There is also fish oil, garlic powder, and ginger powder. The fish oil has those omega-3 fatty acids that us dogs need to help with our joints. The garlic maintains the immune system and lowers the pressure in the blood (or something like that. I’m a dog, so this is a lot of big words to remember to tell you … hehehe). Finally, the ginger powder helps with nausea, bloating, diarrhea, and gas (one thing you humans can’t stand is a gassie dog).

Overall, I give YumZies by Nootie two paws up and paw licking good. The bacon favor was great and I can’t wait to try the other three! To get your pups their very own bag go to :

Disclosure –The a bag of YumZies was provided to my rents and I free of charge by However, opinions expressed here are my own.
