Happy New Year!

Written by Rachel Phelps

Hi my pal! It is 2012. WOW! Time flies when your having fun!

I looked back on my blog to see my New Years resolutions for 2011. So I thought it was time to figure out which ones I accomplished and how many needed to be added onto my resolutions for 2012

2011

1. Don’t chase cats –– OK I say I can count this one as kinda, sorta — I’m getting better!

2. Get my exercise by my walking each and every day..maybe twice a day (hint hint hint..mom) — this was a fail by my mom. We were doing really good and mom even won an exercise challenge at work one month by walking me 20+ days. But then she slacked off. OK I have to say..she has been sick alot this past year so I say this one gets moved over to a 2012 resolution.

3. Don’t poop in the house or at least hide it better — I hide it better! Actually it helps to have a foster brother who likes to eat it (I know gross habit..we are working on it!)

4. Help plan an amazing Barkworld 2011 conference (mom and I are on the planning committee!) — YEA Barkworld WAS amazing! Mommy spoke, I broke out of doggie day care, took my pal Carma with me to the conference, attended a doggie wedding, and had a blast. You HAVE to go in 2012!

5. Take a typing class so I don’t have to rely on my scribe so much to update my blog –– I did take a typing class..Miss Beacon Westie’s teaches typing. I bet you didn’t know she had a dog! So I have been typing with all four paws and updating my blog more often!

6. Finally, connect more with YOU my wonderful readers! — YES! I have so many great friends here on my blog, facebook, and Twitter that I have met in the last year. I LOVE you my PALS!

My resolutions for 2012

    1. Ok I’m going to put on there again don’t chase cats

    1. Get my exercise by walking each and every day! — a relist

    1. Get a title after my AKC name Sir Preston Peabody. After my amazing visit to a facility for special needs adults (blog post to come)I have decided I need to look into being a therphy dog again and figure out which national group I want to join and take their test. I also want to try out earth dog.
My rents think I would be a natural since I love to crawl under beds, under blankets, etc.

    1. To get along with Elvis finally. Yes Elvis and I have our issues and it is time we set it aside and become the good brothers mommy and daddy know we can be. So I am getting Rai, my friend/trainer/dog shrink(just kidding Rai) to meet with us and have a counseling session where maybe we can finally talk it out. But I get first dibs at laying down on the couch during the session hehehehe.

    1. To use PrestonSpeaks.com as a positive force/voice to help animals get adopted in my community throughout the US with Westie Rescue! I speak my mind as a small westie and I’ll call a spade a spade if I see one but if your heart (and head that’s important too) is in the right place and your working towards the good of animals I’ll be your biggest fan and supporter!

  1. Grow my blog and meet more of my fans! I love to go places and I love to meet my friends so I want to meet YOU this year at some point!
