Today, a great pet friendly book is being released in paperback called Awkward Family Pet Portraits by Mike Bender and Doug Chernack. This book is a a hilarious tribute to the unbreakable bond between people and their pets. Mike and Doug are the masterminds behind the widely known website and the New York Times best seller — Awkward Family Photos. All I can say is LMTO (laugh my tail off) You humans takes the funest photos with your pets. The book is a quick read with all full color photos that can even keep a dog paying attention until the last page. It has funny captions and descriptions. There are all kinds of animals in the book from cats, dog, skunk, snakes, birds, chickens, goats, donkeys, and even monkeys.
The book is divided into the following chapters so there is something for everyone: The Pet Portrait, Dogs, Cats, Birds, Farm Animals, Exotic Pets, Holidays with Pets and Awkward Pets.
I understand you want us pets in your photos but please think how the pictures will look ..don’t embarrass us hehehe. Trust me you’re the ones who look awkward not us most of the time!

It has to be the Unsolved Mystery photo on page 5. What on earth were they thinking?
I could look at these photos all day! Loving the raccoon in the chair though, he seems pretty relaxed sitting there like that.
There were so many good pics. One of my favorites was of “Seacup” on page 30. That’s an ingenious use of a bra: To help a horse through a veterinary procedure!
My favorite picture by far was the family that was dressed up as Dalmatians pictured with their Dalmatian dogs!

My favorite photo has to be the one called Turnstyle. It makes me think of my cat Clover who can get herself into the most random positions!

First one I saw was a pup sitting in a dishwasher. I scrolled threw a few pages but this one is still my favorite! Reminds me of something my cat would do
I like the “don’t you forget about me” cat photo. Reminds me of a cat my aunt used to have!
