I am so excited! I am one of the dogs in charge of planning Barkworld 2011. For those who aren’t familiar with Barkworld Conference and Expo (shame on you!) it is THE pet social media conference covering ALL facets of social media & pet education for the thriving online pet community. This year it is September 29th though October 1st in Atlanta Georgia.
I went last year and took my parents with me (they were my drivers along with my new pal Wanda). It was so much fun! I was a celebrity and people even wanted to take pictures with me. I even had an official badge to wear to get into events. While I was busy socializing my parents were learning tons and tons on how to make my blog successful. They also had a twitter party and even served us doggie beer (don’t worry it wasn’t real beer..but it was good!). There was also a dog fashion show, and a expo full of booths with vendors.
So when I was asked to be one of the pets in charge I said woof (yes!) I am working with other amazing dogs such as Hank, MattieDog, Yoda, Brutus, Autumn, Bear, and even one cat (Dahlia). Here is a link to all our bios:
We have big plans for Barkworld 2011. We have amazing keynote speakers planned. There will be Ted Rheingold, founder and CEO of Dogster, Inc. (and Catster, Inc) , and Jelena Woehr, Community Coordinator for Yahoo! Contributor Network.
So now that you know about this amazing conference you MUST sign up and hang out with me in Atlanta. Rumor has it that I’m even bringing presents from prestonspeaks.com for my pals!
