Mother’s Day

Written by Rachel Phelps

Hello World, Its me Preston! It has been a wonderfully doggie day! Today I wanted to talk about Mother’s day. I know I’m a few days late. But don’t blame me..I’m a dog I’m not good at keeping up with the days. I actually have two mommies. But today I want to talk about my birth doggie mom and my early days. If you can’t guess she was a westie like me with white hair! I have five other brothers and sisters. There were three boys and three girls in the litter. Below is a picture of my siblings. Weren’t we the cutest things!

My litter (I’m on the far left)

Not long after I opened my eyes and figured out the whole eating/nursing thing my human mom and daddy came to visit. They played with all of us and sat on the floor. They had a hard time deciding I was the best choice. It helped that they wanted a boy so that cut out half of the competition hehehe. But one of my brothers wanted to go home so badly with mommie. He put on all the charm and crawled into her lap and did puppy dog kisses. He had almost won over mom. But luckly daddy saw something special in me. He said it was my cute eyebrows. He insisted I was the dog for them and he won! So they put a red collar on me to show I was the chosen one and mommie and dad put down a deposit of $50. Below is their receipt.

Later I learned that I was mom’s valentine’s day gift from Dad and she told me I was the best gift ever. I don’t think daddy will ever be able to top me on any future gifts hehehe. I haven’t seen any of my brothers or sisters or my mommy and daddy since. I have heard that some of my siblings are doing well and several have visited petsmart. One even took a class but I heard she wasn’t as bright as me lol. But then again I’m a petsmart superstar with 6 certificates so I’m very well educated hehe.
