Hi world! Its me Preston again! Today I wanted to talk about the difficulties of being a white dog! Your probably thinking but Preston you have it made, your cute, and you’re the whitest westie your pals know. However, being white means you miss out on doing all the dirty stuff other dogs gets to do. You black dogs have it made…no one knows when your dirty, dust and mud doesn’t show, and you can roll in about anything and it takes a while for the parents to figure out you need a bath. Us white dogs on the other hand can’t play in the mud, can jump in a pond, and for petesake how dare we roll in fresh cut grass and turn our hair green! And if we do manage to sneak off and get dirty it is straight to the tub for us. Sometimes I don’t even make it home..I go straight to a pet store with a torture room , sorry I mean a grooming room in the back!
But recently my mommy decided I needed to be even more white (growl). So at a local pet show she talked to a vendor and got White Magic” shampoo and “Sealer Magic” conditioner made by pure paws. Oh what a process and so much time in the dreaded tub. I had to first get a regular bath. Then mommy dilutes the shampoo and you get a second bath then it has to sit for 15 mins and you have to stay in the tub and be a good boy all that time. You are purple and will stain anything like towels, shower curtains, your parents clothes, etc. After 15 mins then my parents had to rinse me really good or my hair will turn blue (I would look like a smurf) if it is left on too long. Next was conditioner and more waiting and then a super long rinse. It is quite a process to be super white! By the time I got out of that tub I was doing zoomies all over the house! I never sit still that long ever unless I’m asleep! But boy I was so white mommy said she needs to wear shades! But I have to give mom some credit I was pretty sharp looking! So next time you see a white puppy give us some love because it is tough being white!
