Thanksgiving will be here soon, which means it’s almost time for the National Dog Show! The NBC Thanksgiving Day special, “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®”, is watched annually by more than 20 million viewers. Like every year, one of America’s great purebreds will be crowned as the 2015 champion. It will air on Thursday, November 26th from noon to 2 p.m. in all time zones.
I love watching dog shows! These are the top pups in the country competing that are the perfect examples of all the different breeds. They are all awesome … but honestly, I really, really, really, want the West Highland White Terrier to win. I told Mom if I could compete I would totally bring home best in show. However, because I am fixed, it is against the rules for me to show … sigh.
Purina #DogThanking Campaign
In honor of the National Dog Show, Purina has created an awesome campaign called “Dog Thanking”. They want our rents to thank us pets who make their lives so special. I like thinking about how special I am … hehehe. So from now through Thanksgiving, for every post you humans put on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram telling the world why you are thankful for us, Purina will donate $1 each to the AKC Canine Health Foundation – up to $75,000 to help keep us pets healthy. Make sure you tag @Purina and use the hashtag #DogThanking.

Preston – Thank you Preston for being my best friend!
When Mom told me what she wrote, she kind of had this weird eye-watering thing happening. She said I am very special to her and I have been there along with her the last six years of adventures all over the country. I was also there for all her highs and lows and was even her nurse when she had to have surgery this summer. She said you are always there for me as a real best friend and I don’t know what I would do without you around.
Elvis – Thank you Elvis for being my hunk of burning love
Mom said she had fun with this one. Elvis is a cuddle bug and will stay by her side for days if you let him. If Mom is ever upset, Elvis stays right there with her and comforts her with his big brown eyes and Westie kisses.
