My 8th Barkday Dog Party with Nutrish #spon

Preston's 8th Barkday party

In mid-December 2016, I celebrated my 8th barkday (birthday) celebration in Atlanta at the Winter Wonderland Pet Expo with Nutrish.  My actual birthday is Christmas Day (yep, I share my special day with the birth of Christ :-), so I celebrated a little early.  I had fun partying all weekend long with my pals and new friends I met in Atlanta.  I wanted to have some of my dog family members there so I decided to bring my sister Daisy along for the trip.  Some of you may be wondering what about my dog brother Elvis – well, he doesn’t like public appearances and asked to stay home.  Besides, who wants a grumpy dog at your party – not me!

I spent a long time planning out my party booth.  I decided I wanted to host the kids area and we had a lot of fun activities including coloring and making snowflakes.  We even had an area where they could design their own Preston Speaks button.  If you would like to take a virtual tour of my booth, watch this video!

One little girl colored a photo for me as my barkday gift!  I was so honored that I hung it up in my booth!

I decided for my 8th barkday party I wanted to give out a party favor.  Of course the first thing that came to mind was bacon.  Unfortunately, Mom said no because she thought a booth full of bacon with 100’s of dogs at the expo would be disaster.  If you have ever seen the movie The Christmas Story, it would have probably been like that scene near the end where the dogs run in to steal the turkey … hehehe.  If I couldn’t have bacon, I figured the next best thing was pet food!  When my pals at Nutrish heard about my birthday party, they offered to send me some of my favorite food to pass out – Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain!

Let me tell you about this great food!  Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain Food is a super premium food made with real beef, turkey, or salmon, but without glutens, grains, or fillers.  It also has vitamins and minerals us pups need to have a complete diet.  All the meat comes from cattle, turkey, and bison that only live here in the US.  There is also no poultry by-product meals, artificial ingredients, or colors, which is great for us allergy pups!   In other words, it is just really good healthy food for us!

You can pick up your own bag at most places your rents would normally shop for groceries.  For more information about this Nutrish food, click here: Nutrish Zero Grain

I also discovered that a box full of dog food samples makes a great bed!  Hehehe.  I took a nap during the expo and I dreamed of kibble floating right past my head :-).

I had a blast hanging out with all my pals and even my sister.  I had so much fun I didn’t want it to end. I admit, I wore my party hat on the way home too!  Here is to a great 2017 and an even bigger party on my 9th barkday!
