Yesterday, I told you all about my mom’s adventures of cooking a meal made of the same primary ingredients the cats are eating in their Rachael Ray Nutrish cat food.  I think Mom did a good job, but you should check it out for yourself. Hint there is a yummy recipe  ==> Rachael Ray Smoky Maple-Glazed Salmon.

Today, I want to talk to you about what else was in the package from Nutrish.  First, I was kind of disappointed because there was nothing in it for dogs.  Mom quickly reminded me that I wasn’t the only pet in the house and sometimes the cats Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb need attention and packages too.

Nutrish sent the cats a bag of the salmon and rice food to try out, an assortment of wet cat food, a cool cat nip toy that Pibb quickly got seriously loopy on, and a fun kraft paper bag to play with that wasn’t a good idea with a catnip high cat … hehehe (yep I have serious blackmail photos below).

As soon as the cats tried out the food they were impressed.  Rachael Ray Nutrish cat food is made from real chicken or salmon.  There is no ground corn, wheat, or soy.  Plus, there’s never any by-products, artificial flavors, or artificial preservatives.  My cat siblings are getting up there in years, so we have to be super careful what we feed them to keep them healthy.

They went crazy for the Nutrish wet cat food as well.  I asked them what flavor they liked best and they said they liked them all, but needed more containers to eat to make a final decision.  I think they were just being sneaky trying to get more food.  The wet food is also made with simple, natural ingredients like real chicken or fish. There are not any grains or artificial ingredients either.

The cost of the food is very reasonable too!  A three-pound bag of dry food sells for $7.49 while a 2.8-ounce cup of wet food retails from $0.94  to $1.09.  My pals at Nutrish even gave me a special top-secret coupon for you to make it even cheaper to try out Switch To Nutrish Coupon

Playtime!  After Pepper and Pibb filled their bellies, Mom tried to get them to play with the toys in the Nutrish package.  My sister cat Pepper just kinda looked into the bag and decided she would rather sleep on her heating pad.  My brother cat Pibb on the other hand had fun playing with the catnip toy and then tried to play with the bag.  Between you and me, I think Nutrish needed to send a bigger bag.  Pibb got stuck and had to be rescued by Mom.  Like I always say, he isn’t the sharpest claw in the paw.

Overall, the Nutrish for cats was a huge hit in my house (the paper bag, not so much … hehehe).

  • My dog enjoys having his teeth brushed but the cats like it the most! Of course to them it is more of a game and at the end I always give them a little brush on their foreheads with the toothbrush. They really like that! But then again they like to chase litt;e red spots bouncing around the room too! Goofballs!
