Preston Cares NetworkThe Preston Cares Network (PCN) is project lead by PrestonSpeaks.com to show the world few people who join together can make a difference in the lives of animals. PCN is network of caring people and bloggers to help animals. If you’re a rescue group, and you would like us to feature you, please send an e-mail to PrestonCares@PrestonSpeaks.com. This will be a great opportunity to gain additional exposure for your favorite rescue group or shelter.

As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.  Arizona Golden Rescue is one of those that will be at the Phoenix Pet Expo show on April 20th  at the University of Phoenix Stadium from 10 am – 6 pm with great animals available for adoption.

About the Arizona Golden Rescue

Arizona Golden Rescue rescues purebred Golden Retrievers, as well as Golden Doodles and other Golden mixes. After a complete veterinary exam, updating of vaccinations, microchipping, testing for valley fever and heartworm, and spaying or neutering if that hasn’t already been done, we place the dog in the best possible home of an approved-to-adopt family. We also do a lot of public education about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership.

Meet Daisy a Labrador Retriever / Golden Retriever / Mixed

Daisy - Arizona Golden RescueMy name is Daisy. I am 2 years old, 50 pounds, calm around everyone and love to be loved on. I love to play fetch. If I’m really happy, I make endearing whimpering sounds until I get through my happiness. I’m a great family dog and was raised with a 5 and a 6 year old. I don’t chase the cats…. that much. I love to go for walks but will need to learn that I don’t need to be in the front. I know how to lie down, sit and if you tell me down, I will not jump up. I love to play with dogs. I was taught to not go on the couch but I like to sneak that in, so if you have a couch for me I would love that.

Meet Dusty a Golden Retriever / Border Collie / Mixed (long coat)

dustyDusty is coming out of his shell and learning to trust. We will never know what happened to this sweet boy to make him so wary of humans but we do know he has a Golden heart and recognizes and responds to kindness. It is time for him to take the next big step into a loving home. He enjoys the company of other dogs, large and small, following them around and finding comfort in their presence. Dusty seems to be more secure with women and still skittish around big men.  If you have room in your heart and home for Dusty and the means and desire to work with him to gain his trust, you will experience the joy that comes from witnessing the transformation of the lost dog to devoted companion knowing that on that day when he looks deeply into your eyes and shares his soul that you are forevermore his hero.

So stop by Arizona Golden Rescue booth at the Phoenix Pet Expo and say Preston sent you!

  • WE LOVE PETS! Hello and welcome to Arizona Humane Society. Thank you for visiting. Arizona Humane Society takes in an average of 121 pets a day. Some are homeless. Some are sick. Some are injured. All are in need of a safe haven that offers first-class medical and rehabilitative pet care, provided by the most compassionate people you can find anywhere. AHS receives no federal or state funding. We are a community-sustained organization, supported entirely by people like you who love pets as much as we do. We’re glad you’re here. And so are our pets.
