Preston Cares NetworkThe Preston Cares Network (PCN) is project lead by PrestonSpeaks.com to show the world few people who join together can make a difference in the lives of animals. PCN is network of caring people and bloggers to help animals. If you’re a rescue group, and you would like us to feature you, please send an e-mail to PrestonCares@PrestonSpeaks.com. This will be a great opportunity to gain additional exposure for your favorite rescue group or shelter.

As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.   Coastal Poodle Rescue one of those that will be at the South Florida Pet Expo show on March 16th  with great animals available for adoption.
Coastal Poodle Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. They are 100% volunteer-based, which means overhead costs are minimal and your donation is put to direct use for the good of the dogs. They ensure that each dog is spayed/neutered, have their vaccinations updated, are tested for heartworms and other parasites, have a thorough vet exam, and are treated, if possible, for any known conditions found before adoption. All medical information is fully disclosed to new owners. The dogs are placed in foster homes that provide love and patience to help the animals adjust before being adopted. Their stays in foster care vary from several days to several months, depending upon the dogs’ condition and needs. CPR does NOT have a kennel or facility. Unlike shelter or kennel living, fostering in a home environment allows the personal evaluation of each dog for behavior and temperament issues.

COLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAhispita is a shihtzapoo. She is a wweet girl, mostly Shihtzu with some Poodle mix. Loving, playful and just plain CUTE! She suffers from a dry-eye condition requiring eye drops for life. Fostered in Palm Beach county.

Pico1259After

Pico’s Ideal Home:Prefers females. No kids under 10 yrs old, will nip young kids but is a great lap dog. Needs to have someone at home with him to give eye meds.

Pico’s Favorite Things:To be with you on your lap or at your feet.

Making Friends with Pico:Loves to be petted especially behind the ears. And let him sit in your lap and relax. Pico is good on a leash but does bark when he hears noise/voices as he has trouble seeing and this is concerning for him. Can be protective but not always.

Current Health:Severe dry eye; heart murmur 3/6 but no symptoms or issues; otherwise fine
