Preston Cares NetworkThe Preston Cares Network (PCN) is project lead by PrestonSpeaks.com to show the world few people who join together can make a difference in the lives of animals. PCN is network of caring people and bloggers to help animals. If you’re a rescue group, and you would like us to feature you, please send an e-mail to PrestonCares@PrestonSpeaks.com. This will be a great opportunity to gain additional exposure for your favorite rescue group or shelter.

As an Amazing Pet Expo official blog ambassador we learn about wonderful animal rescue organizations that will be at upcoming shows.  The Perfect Dog is one of those that will be at the  Bay Area Expo show on January 12th with great animals available for adoption.

The Perfect Dog
, dedicated to rescuing wonderful homeless or abandoned dogs from over-crowded shelters, is an organization serving the southern Bay Area. The Perfect Dog places dogs in need into temporary foster homes, where they are socialized, trained, cleaned, and prepared for adoption. Ultimately, The Perfect Dog strives to greatly reduce the number of unwanted dogs euthanized in shelters simply due to over-crowding or being deemed unadoptable.

Roger

Roger is a 1 year old Australian Terrier, and this guy is ALL terrier!! (His personality is probably closest to that of a Jack Russell) He loves to play with other small dogs, is good with cats (although sometimes he wants to play with them if they run). He LOVES to play (can’t say this enough), and he has extremely high energy. He has been in Agility classes (since August) and would love to go to a home that can continue this with him, and keep him very active, both mentally and physically (this is so important for a dog like Roger). His AMAZING agility instructor has offered 50% off the first course for Roger to continue Agility. He’s like the energizer bunny, and he is one of the smartest dogs we have met! He does also love to snuggle with his person and give kisses. He’s crate-trained and housebroken. He does seem to warm up much faster to young women than to older people or men. This is why he’d do best in a home with NO children and with someone experienced with terrier or high energy breeds (like herding dogs) and near-professional dog behavior experience. Once you give this dog a chance, you will fall in love! He’s really such an absolutely brilliant dog, the life of the party!

Roger is neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped, and will come with a collar, harness, leash, t-shirt, and bag of food!

Flash

Flash is a gorgeous 2yo Border Collie/Aussie mix. He is smart, active, and VERY high energy. As a result, he has been bounced around several homes in the last few months and as much of a love that he is, is becoming a quite anxious and insecure, because no one is willing to commit to him for life and provide him the time and environment that he really needs. Despite this, he still LOVES and is cuddly with all people he meets, but would be too rough for young kids (he is big and bouncy). He is crate trained, house trained, and knows sit and down. He would do best as an only dog or with another active and playful dog since he loves to rough house, and probably no cats, as he’s too playful. He is a loving dog who just needs someone with the patience, time, and compassion to work with him. He will definitely be over the top for most households, but he is a diamond in the rough, full of potential! Once someone finally commits to him, he will undoubtedly prove to be an amazing companion!  If you’re looking for a dog who is fun, incredibly loving, full of life, and to go on regular hikes with, Flash is the dog for you!

So stop by The Perfect Dog booth at the Bay Area Expo and say Preston sent you!
