As you read this mom is in the air somewhere over the Midwest heading to sunny San Diego while I’m here at home with Dad, Elvis and the Cats. Mom is going to BlogHer with IAMS Pet care. So first your probably wondering what in the world is BlogHer? It is world’s largest conference for women in social media. We are talking about over 3,000 women and a few brave men. It is workshops, discussions, keynotes, meeting brands, and of course lots and lots of networking. Did you notice I didn’t say any dogs are attending?!?!?! Yes another event I can’t go to. For some weird reason people actually think that mom writes these posts and that dogs aren’t smart enough or can’t type or something…. But never fear my pal Bev from IAMS has made me into a flat pet. So I can now go and have my photo taken all during the conference. I can’t wait! Here I am with the other flat pets.
But before the conference kicks off mom is heading to the Helen Woodward Animal Center with IAMS in San Diego. This center is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals and enriching the lives of people. This no-kill center is world known and has provided humane care and animal adoption for orphaned animals, as well as animal-centered educational and therapeutic programs for people for over 30 years. We are so excited about mom going to the center. After this tour then it is off to Canine Companions for Independence. This program provides highly-trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge. What a neat opportunity for mom to see how dogs are trained to help people.
Even though your taking mom away from me and Elvis we wanted to say a big THANK YOU to IAMS and P&G of inviting mom to go to BlogHer with you all!
Your Pal,
